Possibly looking into this too far, but it may well be some type of 'anti-American' trolling not written by an American. Mind you, what I'm basing that on is how 'theatre' is written in British/Australian English rather than the American English spelling of 'theater'.
That's how I always spell theatre, even though I was born and raise in California.

Not only there's close to 0 political component in the movie (the closest it comes to is simply having the 2 main characters walking in the streets at a Gay Pride), but I'm failing to understand the link with America at all. :-k
I mean, at no moment at all there is any link to some American person, or politics or whatever. It's really a French movie centered on France.

By the same "reviewer":
I sat through this movie with my wife trying to be sociable. You guys know what it is like, not much going on, spending time with the family. That being said, I knew going in that any movie on the Hallmark Channel is going to be a chick flick, but I was not ready for this. This has to be the mother of all chick flicks. Every second I watched this movie, I could feel my testicles shrinking. * * * Bluntly put, if your pair are on your chest you will love this movie. But if you have a pair a little lower, this will be the worst movie you have ever seen.
He seems to be an old codger around my age, as he seems to have watched the same TV shows in his childhood that I did.

More from the guy discussed above (the type who watches something he didn't want to watch with his wife to be "sociable," and then runs and complains to the world about the experience and how the film made him feel like less of a man #-o ):
[The Crazies (2010)] is not too bad. The producers of the movie had an agenda in mind. They wanted to show that bad things can happen to peaceful middle class towns in fly over country, just as they happen to the liberal sinkholes on either coast. Of course this is manure, the reason the peaceful little towns in fly over country are peaceful is because the people work to keep them that way. Basically, the military attacks a peaceful town in Iowa because there is something in the water that makes people crazy. Why it just does not kill them is never explained. After that it just turns into the basic run, chase, kill we have all seen before. But the producers made sure to put in plenty of small town touches, like a baseball game, etc, so you would know that the tranquil life of middle America is not really so tranquil. But all of us here in fly over country know better. We will take our small town life, and you can keep all the crazies on either coast.
Suuuure. It's the
movie that has an agenda. Good point about how small-town people are immune to fictitious viruses while the liberal-infested coasts are not.
Oh, and
The Proposal:
Sandra Bullock is really getting a little long in the tooth for this type of role. This type of role has passed her by 10 or 15 years ago. It is time for Sandra to start seeking new material. This movie would have been more appropriate for a woman 30-35 years of age. Say, Reese Witherspoon. There is a scene in the movie where Betty White gives Sandra Bullock a fertility blanket, I suppose to help her procreate. Well, that blanket really has its' work cut out for it because at the time of this movie Sandra Bullock was 45 years old.
Yeah, I guess she's long overdue to be sent to the glue factory. I'm going to go wash my hands.

Same guy on A Dog Named Christmas:
Again, this movie, like all movies presented by Hallmark was an excellent movie.
Also, on Pandemic:
That is a good premise to begin with, but there are a few problems. The first one are the uniforms worn by the military. The uniforms are completely unrealistic. There is no "U.S. ARMY" name tape on the uniforms. The soldiers have rank on their uniforms, but no rank on their caps. There is no unit insignia anywhere in sight. Soldiers are wearing black boots with ACU uniforms. I could go on and on about the mistakes on the uniforms.
Sounds like you already did...
EDIT: Reading on, found this nice bit of logic:
The only reason I only gave it a 9 is because you cannot rate a movie zero, I do not feel you should rate one 10.

Who does this guy think he is? Bela Tarr?
I actually really want to see his preferred version of this film:
There's something in the water in Bumfuck, Idaho. The residents have a drink, and within minutes they're DEAD! They're ALL DEAD! In ten minutes! End of film! Go home! The next two hours is tumbleweeds and rust! It might as well be directed by James Benning!

What's hilarious about that Crazies review is it misses the point of the film totally, which is actually a clever commentary on isolationism-- and the author seems to still be bolstering a version of isolationism in the process ("We know better here in small towns," etc)! There's few pleasures sweeter than someone missing the point thoroughly AND proving the thing they're decrying simultaneously!

When I first booted this game up, I knew instantly that this would be absolutely nothing like the underrated and greatly misunderstood Batman & Robin, and certainly not the video game I thought I had purchased for my son. Nonetheless, it is Batman and I had already spent 65$ dollars on it, so I bit the bullet. I must say, this video game takes itself too seriously. I was never a huge fan of the Nolan films because they were overtly violent, and this game seems to follow the morose tone set by those awful films. There are literal cut-scenes that involve 'thugs' getting shot IN THE HEAD. In a Teen-rated video game. This level of nihilism and violence should be reserved for M-rated video games, trash such as Call of Duty and Gran Theft Turismo.
(I actually kind of agree about the unnecessary level of violence but still)

Just another anti-American movie full of filth. Used to be that a person had to put on a raincoat and dark glasses, travel to the seedy side of town to see filth like this. Now this filth is shown on some mainstream movie theatres. People wonder why America has fallen into such disrespect and shame, and movies like this are the reason. How low can the movie industry actually go? What is next, child porn and snuff films? All right thinking and decent Americans need to stay as far away from this garbage as possible. I think the day is fast approaching when Americans will finally pass a constitutional amendment to stop the production and screening of filth like this. I have recently read that no theatre in Idaho will screen this film. Stand up America, make your voice heard and take back your country. Boycott any establishment that shows this filth.
Now I wanna see this...thanks!

So there's nothing just inherently violent about Batman that might suggest this kind of tone or story treatment? This seems pretty naive.

Someone's not a fan of the Cinerama experience
I'm glad that the elements of this film, as you've described them, are lost; the whole idea of restoring this hokey old film is one, big very stupid joke; it's all geek masturbation at its very worst; it just belongs in the permanent dustbin of history.

Poor guy seems totally miserable.
Are you living in England now?
Yes. That's where I am right now. You just phoned me so you know that this is an English phone number.
I know, I just wanted to ask.
Well why ask me questions if you know the answer?
So that readers can find out something the interviewer obviously already knows? To try to get you to start talking about something beyond short, grouchy replies?
Anyone who's going to give an interview like that should probably just refuse interviews.
