Hmm. Just Googled this because I'm a sucker for silent serials and was wondering why it was only "misc episodes". I assumed that this was because it was incomplete but this suggests that she only had a hand in directing certain episodes. Pioneers: First Women Filmmakers is very close to being funded, having jumped about $4,000 in campaign funds over the weekend, with less than $2,000 to go. Very pleased and relieved, though I wish it could have been as much of a runaway success as Pioneers of African American Cinema. I wonder what other Pioneers... releases could occur? Yiddish American Cinema?

This has so far gone from pre-existing groups in Kino's label so that's the best place to look. So while I would love your Yiddish suggestion I doubt it is viable especially since most of the best known films are held by the National Center for Jewish Film.

Does anyone here have The Bubble and Gog? If so, do you need a 3-D TV for it? Or, like The Mask can you view the 3-D with old school glasses?

DVD Beaver indicates that a 3D-compatible monitor and Blu-ray player is required to play the 3D versions of both films. Unlike The Mask, which included an anaglyph 3D version (red-and-green glasses could be used), The Bubble and Gog only have true stereoscopic 3D versions.
Now I don't own any of these films, but since DVD Beaver specifically notes about having to view the 3D version of The Bubble on 3D-compatible TV, it's logical to assume anaglyph versions are not available.

Money grab....
Last I read, Mr Lime has said these restos will be released as a box. It's Kino's last ditch effort to get folks to fork over money before they lose the rights in 2017. Cohen has the rights to the 4k restorations and will start releasing them next year, as well as tour the films. I believe it's the 100 year Anniversary of Keaton on film.Kino Lorber have released a brand new promo trailer for the new 2K restorations of Buster Keaton's films Steamboat Bill, Jr. (1928), College (1927), Three Ages (1923), and The General (1927). The restorations have been completed by French label Lobster Films.
The new restorations will be promoted theatrically by Kino Repertory. All four films are already available on Blu-ray as part of The Buster Keaton Collection. Individual Blu-ray releases are also available on the market.
At the moment, Kino Lorber have not confirmed when/if the new restorations will also be made available on Blu-ray.

Say what you will about Blu-ray.com and its community, there was only one pretentious forum comment about how "sexist" the Pioneers: Early Women Film Makers box is.
Regarding the Keaton films, does it also apply to the shorts? Is there a chance that the MoC and Kino sets dedicated to his short films are going to be obsolete?

Having dismissed the upcoming Keaton releases as soon-to-be-obsolete cash grabs, I now learn that The General will come with the Joe Hisaishi score which makes it an essential purchase for me unless MoC gets their hands on both that and Cohen's 4K master.

Is there any way we can consolidate the Buster Keaton discussions currently going on here and here? May be easier down the line to really disseminate the pros and cons of each release/resto.

Kino Repertory has announced that it plans to bring back to U.S. theaters two classics films directed by Jean-Luc Godard: La Chinoise (1967) and Le Gai Savior (1969). The theatrical screenings are scheduled tor 2017.
Blu-ray releases are expected to be announced later next year.
