Hmmmmm, I wonder if it's worth buying for half the book.

What, they couldn't find any nuts and/or gum? Or jagged metal Krusty-O's? I'm honestly curious whether someone could survive that.

I'm disappointed to not see the space-age moon waffle.

They could have at least tried to make Homer's homemade Prozac.

They're missing my personal favourite, Homer's waffle: a half-cooked mass of batter wrapped around a whole stick of butter.

I know it's not a unique thing, but it would have been fun to see them mold a Gummi de Milo.

I actually tried another of Homer's butter recipes: bacon wrapped around a cube of butter. That certainly took 5 years off my life.

I can't believe they didn't do the good morning burger.

Entertainment Weekly's Fall TV Preview wrote:[The Simpsons returns with] a parody of The Diving Bell and the Butterfly in which a paralyzed Homer can only communicate through farting.
Oh, how far this show has fallen.

Also, they took a fan vote to decide whether Ned Flanders and Mrs. Krabappel will be dating. Soooooo stupid.

Anyway, just look at this blog for a while and you'll feel better.

Oh, how far this show has fallen.
But it's so timely! I look forward to a 2015 episode where Lisa dates a radical young militant who wants to take up arms against his Shelbyvillian oppressors, while a wise and concerned Miss Hoover looks on and scowls.

Wait, that actually sounds good.

Dead Homers is also helpful to ease the pain. Apparently at least one of the current season plots (The Simpsons are going to Antarctica!) was mocked in Season 13, when the show had already turned rather bad.

Lucky for them that any fines they incur, Ned Flanders can easily afford them.

Dana Gould was on Kevin Pollak's show, and he talks about writing for The Simpsons for about 20+ minutes. Here it is.

This is basically what I was thinking as well. Fox seems to be taking a page straight from the Roger Goodell Management Handbook here, pretending to be losing money on a venture that absolutely no one can possibly believe they're really losing money on and then taking a maximalist negotiating position just for the sake of being assholes about it. I'm not sure why the cast is even bothering to make concessions in the first place.
