Are filmmakers involved in approving the upgrades from blu to 4K, when they already approved the initial transfer? Not sure if you're joking (not about the rapper) but he's constantly busy. He's in post on his Baby Jesus movie, he's produced (or lent his name and backslaps) to probably a dozen features and docs, including a couple curious looking psychedelic VR attempts, he directed a car commercial, supposedly he's working on longer cuts of "Voyage of Time" and "To the Wonder," and so on.

It's a shame his only 4K is "Song to Song" which is his worst film, and one of the worst films of the 21st century.

He's been in post on Way of the Wind for nearly three years so I would imagine that would get a release anytime now (though it's probably too late for this year so I'm banking on Cannes '23).

I couldn't disagree with you more on Song to Song which I regard as the best film of its release year (though I think that about every Malcik). It's as profoundly great and as aesthetically or formally refined in its own way as any of his other work.

I'll take this opportunity to mention too that the influence of his late career films can be recognized directly in the superb Age Out from A.J. Edwards (who edited some of those late films for Malick and whose first feature The Better Angels was produced by him). I can't think of any other that took the right lessons from Malick's technique more than this simple seeming gem, itself one of the most neglected and under appreciated films of the 21st century.

Unfortunately, George Feltenstein pretty much confirmed Casablanca coming from WB by saying a big title was leaked early by getting announced in the European market
