Forgot what it was for, but I remember Tim Allen presenting an award that wound up in a tie. I believe this was the Oscars for 1994 because he made a Forrest Gump joke that completely bombed.

Wallace Beery and Fredric March tied for Best Actor in the 30's, in a year when there was only 3 nominees in that category.

Just checked, the category I was thinking about was Best Live Action Short, and it was indeed 1994:
Franz Kafka's It's a Wonderful Life – Peter Capaldi and Ruth Kenley-Letts
Trevor – Peggy Rajski and Randy Stone

Once again the honorary Oscar winners woulda been way more interesting and they got fucked. Founder of the AFI? D. A. Pennebaker? Shoot, even Hal Needham's clip reel woulda been great to see.

They forgot Andy Griffith. That's a weird exclusion. I'm also a bit peeved about no Alan Sharp, but given timing he's more understandable than the Sheriff of Mayberry.

They made up for it by including Harris Savides and MCA (which means I won't be sticking my dick in the mashed potatoes).

Macfarlane's had some really funny moments at the expense of others, I'm sure he won't be invited back ever again.

Not to mention Erland Josephson, Tonino Guerra and Chris Marker.

They also missed Ravi Shankar. He's featured in the Ghandi score, right?

The only previous nominees:
Live and Let Die
The Spy Who Loved Me
For Your Eyes Only
And then also
Casino Royale (1967) got one too, in the unofficial Bond category.

It appears they didn't include anyone who passed away this year, which would explain the exclusions of Sharp, John Kerr, Stuart (Return of the Jedi) Freeborn, editor Gerry (Midnight Express) Hambling, and of course Nagisa Oshima.

15/24. Not too shabby for a tough year to predict. Called Lee as Director, so I'm happy about that.
