EPIC POST ALERT - hopefully answers all the questions:

you got that too? think it works?
Not that email, although I was intrigued too :D
Dr Amicus wrote:Might have...

Not wanting to push my luck, but do you subtract VAT shipping out of the EU? As Amazon do, but still consider us down here in the Channel Islands as UK for free postage, this is one of the main reasons they get so much of my business.

Mind you, considering the shocking state of my kevyip, and the seeming lack of time to actually do anything about it, maybe I shouldn't even be considering this!
I'm afraid we don't, for most places the free shipping should outweigh the non-VAT removal, you Channel Island folk being the exception to that. Sorry.
hidaniel wrote:No, but then I'm not on the list. I figured anything good would trickle out to here anyways.
Want adding? email [email protected] with a blank email and the email title as "Add me"
swo17 wrote:What do you have to do to be on the list? It's been years since I've gotten an interesting email.
There's a secret handshake you have to know, and a one of fee of £500 :D or you can just email me email [email protected] with a blank email and the email title as "Add me"
RobertAltman wrote:Got it! Ordered the Godard yesterday, but thinking about placing an order for the Lubitsch set. But as its value is more than £20, I´d have to pay custom fees etc... Need some time to make up my mind. When does the sale end?
We never put the "real" value on the customs form, for a box set we'd probably declare about £9, so no need to worry there.

---------

Did I answer everything?

I'm surprised those that got the email didn't pick up on one line in it that might have some chomping at the bit....

Judging by the email it looks like this will be monthly.

And no I caught the quote about a special surprise next month, was just being patient is all. :-)

I think you should offer an additional 10% off if you buy all 3 releases together.

I like special treats.

Ordered Une Femme Mariee. I like this direct-buy idea, would most likely order more this way, but I think that's the big consensus around here.

I wasn't trying to be as snarky as this came off.

Though a rewards program of some sort would be nice. Hell, set up a subscription program -- Blu-ray of the month sort of thing where you're 11th is free.

I hate you guys, I really do. I promised myself no more purchases until M on Blu-ray...

...to cut a long story short...

...Lubitsch ordered. Thanks.

Can you share the special quote? I only just "signed up" to the mailing list.

The email signs off with -

If nothing takes your fancy this time, keep your eye on your email for news of our February releases and a special treat.

Well I'll likely be snapping up M and City Girl - and perhaps a special treat...

Well, I ordered the Godard and House. Not going for the Lubitsch set as I already ordered Bellissima, Punishment Park, For All Mankind, Tokyo Sonata and Mad Detective this month ;)

Have nothing but great feedback for Eureka's direct service as well so if you folks can equal or better amazon's preorder savings for There's Always Tomorrow and City Girl, then I'll cancel my orders with amazon and order directly.

Hooray! I am running out of money and there are about 750 unwatched DVDs in my living room. But...who cares? I ordered Une femme mariée, Hausu and the Lubitsch Boxset. Thanks Eureka!

Just want to register my thanks with Eureka for this new avenue for depleting my personal finances. I had just pre-ordered two months worth of MoC releases through Amazon.co.uk when this came about so I've cleared that bill and shall await the pickings from your next email instead.

In the meantime shame on you for making it so easy for me to upgrade to the Blu-Ray edition of Une femme mariée even though I repeatedly promised myself I didn't really need it.

To me a "special treat" sounds like it would be something more tangible or material than the #100 announcement. How about a mega sale on all previous MoC titles to celebrate #100! [-o<

Has anyone else's House shown up yet? I only ask because I ordered Thursday (from Eureka, via the email), alongside an other title, and that arrived yesterday. House didn't arrive yesterday, nor today, so its had me worried.

Amazon's release lists have been unreliable in the past so take it for what it's worth but according to them House is not out until Jan 25. Maybe Nick or someone else at Eureka can confirm? I'm considering a blind buy.

Picked up Lubitsch and Hausu. Will definitely purchase City Girl Blu, M Blu, and There's Always Tomorrow from you guys directly if a similar sale is had.

Has anyone's House arrived yet? Mine still hasn't despite ordering Thursday. Every time I've ordered directly the package has arrived the following day (including twice last week!), so Im a little worried now.
