KL Insider
also revealed that they will be doing new BD releases of the following (I believe
Marty (1955) and
The Long Goodbye (1973), which had previously been announced):
Breakheart Pass (1975) - New 2K Blu-ray scheduled
The Long Goodbye (1973) - New 4K Blu-ray scheduled
Marty (1955) - New 2K Blu-ray scheduled
Mr. Majestyk (1974) - New 2K Blu-ray scheduled
Planet of the Vampires (1965) - New 4K Blu-ray schedule
Those last two have me giddy. Especially because I was looking to buy Mr. Majestyk recently

Has it been announced yet that Borzage’s Desire received a 2K restoration from Kino Lorber. While I am upset Criterion didn’t snag this masterpiece, having Desire on blu makes my month.

Bill Forsyth’s 1989 film Breaking In, with a screenplay by John Sayles and starring Burt Reynolds and Casey Siemaszko, has just been announced as forthcoming, from a new 2K scan of an interpositive.

Great news! I think I asked about this when Reynolds died and was told it was unlikely to be reissued for some reason. Whatever, it's very welcome.

MGM has never produced an HD master of it, as ridiculous as that sounds. I'm glad KL sprung for their own scan. I'd love to see a sit-down with Forsyth and Sayles.

Wish somebody would release a restored full cut of Being Human.

That would be great. I don't think either should be hard to reach. Also the other lead actor, Casey Siemaszko, is easily reachable if they want to do something with him -
he opened a Vimeo account and posted the ending to the film, as well as clips of every film/TV show he's been in.

Apparently Steve De Jarnatt posted on Facebook that Kino is releasing new 4K remastered Blu-rays of Cherry 2000 and Miracle Mile in 2022.

I very seldom double-dip for Blu-Rays, but
Miracle Mile will have his student film
Tarzana, which is incredible, and I never thought it would be possible to own it. The AMPAS restored it.

I purchased the Arrow disc for that very reason, as I believe it had been listed as one of the extras. When it arrived, though, the short had been unceremoniously dropped from the disc.
So now, with its superior design and booklet, the Arrow package is the home for my Kino disc, at least until I buy this film in HD a third time, swap it out with this new version.
Fuck, I’m an idiot.

A bunch of Vincent Price movies are getting re-released by Kino (I think all of these were in the Scream Factory sets):
The Raven
The Last Man on Earth
Master of the World
The Comedy of Terrors

3 are from Volume 2. Master of the World is from Vol 3. That's too bad I had hoped they would reissue those volumes like Volume 1. I missed the original run and I'd rather have them as part of a set.

No. On Twitter they list the special features (some new commentaries) but no intros listed.

Kino will be revealing a UHD title on Sunday. It's from the 90s and it's a part of their deal with Universal.

That title has been confirmed to be John Woo's 'Hard Target'. It will contain the Unrated Director’s Cut and U.S. Theatrical Cut, alongside a brand new Dolby Vision master that has supervised by the DP.

The unrated cut is just the international cut, it is not the actual director's cut of Hard Target.

The International Unrated Cut is the Director's Cut, according to KL:
We're including an interview with John Woo for this very special edition, he considers the international unrated cut, his cut. Before agreeing to the interview, he wanted to make sure we were restoring his preferred cut. The infamous workprint cut is not his cut and will not be included and even if we wanted to, there's no way we could include it, since the needed scenes no longer exist.
New interviews with John Woo, Lance Henriksen, Yancy Butler were all scheduled. We're still working on JCVD and a few others. Arnold Vosloo turned us down.

Of the two released cuts it may be what Woo prefers, but it isn't his director's cut. Also, according to Bob Murawski, the work print floating around isn't Woo's director's cut.
