Look closer: its a half pipe-tennis court house. Great fun!

Michael Bay and the recent Hollywood output wants to make me puke. After seeing the ridiculous ratings for Transformers on IMDB, i've noticed that Michael Bay is set to produce a remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street, The Birds, and Friday the 13th...probably going to be called Jason Takes Baghdad or some shit like that.It makes sense, there is a lose of creativity in Hollywood, so just remake everything from earlier decades. Godard was right.

I would actually rent a film called Jason Takes Baghdad out of perverse curiosity.

In this era of Hollywood wish fulfillment (c.f. 24, Iron Man, etc.), it doesn't seem all that far-fetched.

And seriously, any Transformers cover ought to use this image. It brings out the wistful melancholy of the film and the complicated relationships between humans and automobiles. Swimminghorses, get on it.

EDIT: Here, I did it myself:

I give myself a B-. I don't like where I cropped her hand, but I'm not spending more than 10 minutes on something that's not all that funny.

You are not wrong, but I was kind of going for something along the lines of Criterion's Armageddon cover.

His production company is also working on a remake of Rosemary's Baby, if he ever decides to tarnish Repulsion's good name I'm going to have to start cracking skulls. I really don't like Michael Bay.

Sorry, I didn't mean to hijack this thread into a Michael Bay screed. I don't like him either. Hopefully this will get things back on track. I apologize in advance if it triggers anyone's epilepsy:

I did the best with the text provided (I was using Paint.net, I don't have photoshop).

Not to denigrate your effort but here is the correct cropping:

It was actually stolen from the poster.

I wanted to pretty much use the exact same thing, but I ended up just changing it because I couldn't get the quotes off of it.

I wonder how many people would return the movie (either at a store or to a rental shop) complaining that it must be broken because it's in B&W?

A color photo, although similar in composition, is far away from the feel of Marienbad.

You should stick to B&W for this film.

All you really need to do for Marienbad is slap a Wacky C on this and remove the bit about the new print. I like Keiko Kimura's illustration for the Rialto release too, but I can't seem to find a pic of that now.

Rialto image here.

I'd like to see a cover for Marienbad that avoids that clichéd view of the gardens. It's not as if there aren't any other striking images in the film.
