A bad cover by any standards, but this isn't some generic war film, it's Kim Ki Duk's somber tragedy. Judging by Amazon it's already claimed one poor sap...
Thought this was going to be a war style movie from the cover..Guess I was hoping korean war...But this movie is depressing watching the main character go crazy and a local girl. I dont recommend this movie. Wished I could get my money back.

The hell with the top of his head, what happened to his face and eyes?! Unless Bulger was decapitated by a sign that read "BLU-RAY + DVD + DIGITAL HD", in that case, WB should be lauded for their attention to detail and historical accuracy.
The cover is so bad, even the people who designed it had to put Depp's face on it a second time.

I know the rectangles won't be on the cover, but won't they come up with something we can view... Right now, it looks like they are playing big black accordion.

Perhaps the single most ubiquitous complaint I read about the movie (which I haven't seen) is that Depp's contacts were creepy and distracting. Of course, if that was what the cover designers were concerned about, they could've just 'Shopped the eyes or made the sunglasses completely opaque, so that doesn't really account for this.

He can't feed himself, but he's lethal with a back-handed slap.

Why is there a tortoise mounting the letter "P" in the title? Is that so we know its a wacky comedy?

Jesus, it's like they're barely trying anymore. Honestly, the whole concept of doing something different on every repackaging for marketing purposes makes no sense to me when the result makes said product look more boring and generic than the previous edition. Just leave it as it were, why bother?

When a few of these James Bond reissues were posted a few pages back, I laughed and thought it must be a joke and that there way no way in hell these were real or would ever be sold. Low and behold, they had them all at Best Buy. They might as well be in Repo Man title-only packaging at this point. Perhaps they're selling it as a game to play with your anorak James Bond pals: "try and guess which movie this is supposed to be."
Co-currently with these hilarious reissues are another set of reissues -in steelbook cases. Each (I think) takes the cover image from the film's title credits sequence. They're nothing spectacular, and I prefer the uniformity of the original blu-ray releases, but at least they tried to do something with the films thats a bit more interesting. Since both reissues came out on the same day, I can only assume that Fox did this deliberately, so that you will see the horribly generic shitty covers and immediately spring for the Steelbook packaging, which consequently only costs $3 more...
So you can choose from either:

or
or between these two:

Jesus,
Thunderball may be the worse - save the actual title printed on the box, the rest makes it indistinguishable from any of Connery's films.
Anyway, on to another movie:
DeNiro: "Another heist film? [sigh] Whatever, it's a paycheck…"

The de-wrinkling of Redford and Nolte is off-putting.

Nolte looks like a youthful Colm Meaney.

I can't believe I'm finally seeing this collaboration of DeNiro and Mark Paul-Gosselor, aka Zack Morris. This truly needs a time out moment.

That seems essentially the same as the movie's key art used for every release (in the US, at least) thus far and seems representative of the film. Unless you just think the Ultra 4K branding is ugly.

Why do hardly any of these releases use cool original poster art? Royalties?
