Kino never disappoints. Hoping this leads to a 4K release, or at the least, an extra-rich special edition elsewhere. Anything that isn't a barebones MOD release from Sony at this point.

I actually would believe its more likely elements issues or rights issues w producers or whatever have got in the way - it seems to me unlikely Sony or Mill Creek (who I think Kino have indicated they are actually sublicensing from? I may be wrong) would accidentally allocate this title twice.
It would be nice if Kino used this gap in its deal to pick up Ishtar and at least so a competent encode of the extant master if no other features as Indicator wasn’t able to give us. It seems unlikely the parties preventing its more comprehensive release will be able to loosen their grips on it any time soon…

Why would you want KL to release a barebones Ishtar when you can already buy the Sony release?

Provided the PQ/AQ is good, of course. But by and large, Kino release the films in about as good a quality as you would have expected from some of the other labels, no? Compare, for instance, the Indicator Columbia noir sets with a random batch of Kino-released noirs. Of course, their batting average is way lower than WAC's, but WAC have their niche... and access to the WB vault (I presume).

Correct, but those labels can't release everything. It's the one advantage of Kino's general quantity-over-quality approach. But off the top of my head, there are also instances where Kino have actually improved on the PQ of an Indicator or MoC release

That's what I was trying to say - when Indicator does "dig deep" fx with the noir sets, the presentations aren't all WAC standard either, they rely on old masters like Kino often does etc.

KL Insider did state that other, unannounced, titles were also cancelled (I assume they might of been in the same package as "One False Move"). They are working on replacement titles.

Haven't seen it, but
The Kiss Before The Mirror is pretty good with a nice hint of darkness.

Regular Lubitsch collaborator Hans Kraly was involved in the adaptation, and the plot is based on a case of mistaken identity between a butler and a prince, so probably expect something like a ‘30s Lubitsch comedy with a little more visual flair.

The Digital Bits is saying (and Dr. Bassoon repeated them) that Kino will be releasing Manhunter on UHD, BUT the Kino Insider said they asked but it wasn't available.

Shout lost the rights to it two years ago. While it is possible they have re-licensed it, I would assume that they would have put their Blu-ray back in-print if that were the case.
