Oh, I thought that was going to be a movie about the making of The Twilight Zone (1983).

Pitch-black comedy is nothing new to Ealing, but John Landis' hamfisted, scatalogical approach to it surely is.

Pegg, Serkis, and once-upon-a-time Landis could have been a winning team, but this trailer misfires so badly that it almost bothers me.

The technical quality of the trailer was lacking as well: significant changes in volume, dialogue shifting to the left channel temporarily, even slip frames. Rather unprofessional.

Definitely, if this sort of project had occurred after American Werewolf I'd be first in line, but now I wish Landis would stick to television (which this movie judging by the trailer belongs to). Quality aside even the premise skeeves me out a little since it is real life murderers that they're trying to turn into the sympathetic protagonists. I'll stick to The flesh and the Fiends for my Burke and Hare history.

Blue Valentine Trailer. I also heard that it got a NC-17 rating. Whats up with that?

A truly execrable trailer for what otherwise promises to be an excellent film.

That's probably from them selling it as something it most definitely is not. As Weir said, "it's too classic."

I was going to skip screening this at the Philadelphia Film Festival and just see it during its normal theatrical run, but now I'm not so sure that's the best idea if they're going to have to chop it up. I wonder why it received that rating: even those who have seen the film have expressed how puzzled they are by it.
It looks fantastic and almost frightening for a young engaged couple to go and see, that's for sure.

Having seen Blue Valentine, the only thing I can figure that it got an NC-17 for is
a really uncomfortable scene in which married Gosling and Williams have not entirely consensual sex.

I can't remember the last trailer that made me want to see a film more than this. WOW

I broke down and got tickets.
Just imagine my wildly emotional Saturday next weekend:
5:00 - Blue Valentine
7:30 - Black Swan
10:00 - A Serbian Film a/k/a Can Anything Be Justified?
