Hopefully it's a double feature of both BREAKFAST CLUB and BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY'S.

I agree that Tree of Life (Tray of Life) sounds like a pretty good guess. Personally; not a huge fan of the movie.

The first thing that came to mind was a double clue, but that never happens. It made me think of My Man Godfrey paired with Life with Father. God I hope that's wrong!

How about Here's Your Life by Jan Troell? (guess courtesy of the Blu-Ray.com forums)

If it is in fact Tree of Life (and oh my goodness, I hope it is) there seems to be good evidence that it will be a new (much) longer cut.

Any chance this could be Carl Reiner's Where's Poppa? (The senile Ruth Gordon pours soda over her cereal.)

Becker said the Troell film was in the works a year and a half ago at the Wexner Center chat. Totally forgot about that! Not sure if it's on their hulu page but I know they did add the film to their iTunes and Amazon Instant options last fall.

If it is The Tree of Life, what are the odds of doing a double release with The New World? Recently they announced the two Costa-Gravas films in the same week.

I posted this at the time, but the programmer (or somebody who seemed like they knew what they were talking about) said that Here's Your Life would be a Criterion release when the Museum of the Moving Image screened the restoration in early 2011.
