I wonder if Sony is just being stingy with NewsRadio, or if no one wants to allocate the resources to restoring it (it was shot in 35mm...) or if everyone just hates my guts. But every time I hear that The Mindy Project or The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt or some other series that's already easily streamable is getting a box set, I get sad that the persnickety NewsRadio (some episodes are on Crackle, and they rotate... and seasons are $20 each outside of it last time I checked) doesn't seem to be on the horizon. Joe fucking Rogan is in it, for God's sake - I don't know how we got to this point, but he's now the most famous cast member of that show by a mile and would probably sell copies on his name value alone

Just in case anyone was worried that NewsRadio won't get a restoration and Blu-ray release, I just bought the whole series in 480p (sans Lovitz) from Apple, so it is almost certainly going to happen any day now

According to Andy Daly,
Review is finally coming out in a region-free DVD set with extras on 2/25/20. Though he says it's "from Amazon" and darned if I can find a link to buy the thing.

It's
here, though clearly the entry for "The Review - Complete Series" needs some tweaking. And the
ddd entry says it's MOD.

Weirdly, NBC/Universal is itself releasing the Complete Series of the Office on Blu-ray in November. It's good to see what feels like a lot more of these shows eke out recently. Seems absolutely certain that Mill Creek or Universal will probably be doing Parks and Recreation next year, and one has to begin thinking Seinfeld could finally pop up too.

That'll be interesting to see if that happens as I'm guessing that Netflix will really want people to watch it on their service
when it arrives next year.

Yeah, you’re right, all the rights have went through SPHE, which I should know, considering how much I’ve watched those discs. Well, we still can dream.

My daughter loves the show and I just bought her the DVD set, so I'm super annoyed right now.

Has anybody watched the blu-ray set yet? It looks great and seems to retain all the commentaries, deleted scenes, etc. However, I noticed that on Season 2 Episode 15 (Galentine's Day, the first episode on S2 disc 2) the disc freezes at the 15:17 minute mark, and skips to 15:40. I've tried examining the disc and cleaning it, but it looks fine and still retains the same issue. Is this a mass production problem, or just my copy, and how might one go about getting a replacement disc from this company?

Re: the above, season 5 disc 2 has multiple skips as well. Has anyone had luck contacting Universal for replacement discs? I tried using their online system but I think there’s a bug.. I only get an email sent to me with my issued report and no response from them

So finally, along with a new (animated) feature, Babylon 5 is coming to BD in December.
Which is significant, not just for the show itself, but for studios releasing TV shows on more than DVD at all.
More from JMS:
To address some of the obvious questions: I wasn't directly involved with the release, so I don't know much more than you do or what's in the release/at the retail sites but I can add what little I do know: the release includes The Gathering (but not the movies or Crusade) because TG was our pilot (technically the first) episode, so it's a legit part of the series which fits the title mandate; the other movies were separate, and Crusade is a completely different series, so it doesn't belong in this box set.
This is essentially the same as the very nice 4:3 remaster done for HBO-Max, which matches the original broadcast, but putting it onto Blu-Ray increases the bitrate so it should look even better than it did there. WB wanted to include the commentaries but with everything else involved with this, it apparently wasn't feasible (that's the extent of what I was told, so I've no idea what that entails).

Perhaps this means Andor is coming somewhere down the line. Which would be amazing.

Fabulous Films is releasing
Worzel Gummidge on blu. I think this is the first time I've
ever seen the the prospect of 'noise reduction' being used as a selling point in a preview.
