Well, there's another title I love but won't be able to own in HD anytime soon. Congrats Twilight Time. Well done.

Twilight Time will be releasing
Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia. What a rotten joke.

Rotten indeed. It's such a beautiful film with so many possible extras that this feels like a cruel joke. I suspect that TT has first call on stuff.

Beyond doing a commentary track for Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia, I can't see Twilight spending the money to create extras, as any extra expense will only eat into whatever they make on their 3000 copies only model.
I'm not sure MGM still has Southern Comfort (Jameson281, if you are around, can you tell us if MGM still owns this?)

I'm hoping Criterion will have snaffled some of these? Namely:
BRING ME THE HEAD OF ALFREDO GARCIA
THUNDERBOLT & LIGHTFOOT
THE LONG GOODBYE
MARTY
etc

Alfredo Garcia already has an
Italian Blu-ray release for those turned off by TT.

Please let The Train be a Criterion and not Tittie. Great Frankenheimer commentary on the R1 DVD

MGM's rights to SOUTHERN COMFORT expired a couple years ago.

Thanks for confirming the rumors I'd read about MGM no longer owning Southern Comfort.

Anyone know who has the U.S. rights now? I've almost pulled the trigger on the Second Sight disc a couple of times, but don't want to do that if Criterion or somebody else is cooking up something better.

Fox would be the most logical thing as it was partially produced through them. Paramount might also as the other films produced by that company are with them now.

Nothing like a low-rez, grainy cover to sell a Blu-ray!

Yep. Twilight Time is marketing it as "a film maudit, ripe for rediscovery." Can anyone vouch for it?

Oh man, this is great news. TCM has 15-20% off sales at least once a month, so these will finally be reasonably priced!

TCM is buying them directly from Screen Archives and marking them up by five dollars though, so 15% off will make it about the same as ordering from Screen Archives and 20% off will save you two bucks.
What it really means is that there will now be less than 3,000 copies available, because TCM will buy up some of them.

You've forgotten to factor in the ludicrous shipping charges of Screen Archives

What's so special about TT product they won't ship it outside the U.S.? They don't seem to have that problem with any other items.
