I don't mind comic book-style design either when it's done well, but where to begin with Boiling Point?
Is that headbanded fellow at the bottom, with a tiny necktie and the left hand of the Crypt Keeper, supposed to be representing this famous shot?

The lumpy faces all over that thing make Joe Shishido look average by comparison...

And by the looks of the ballplayer's lower intestinal region, some of the stadium food there must be as bad as in the US. Bacon cheeseburger between deep-fried slices of pepperoni pizza in lieu of the bun with Monster energy drink-infused BBQ sauce-induced abdominal explosion?

I stand corrected then. I haven't seen either movie yet so as poster just for itself I think it's fine. But yeah I guess if I actually watched those films they might suck

Mrs. Johnson's assigned her 3rd grade students in computer class to design a Blu-ray cover for a project.
Billy's was graded as the blandest one...

I don't know if this has shown up in the thread before, but I came across this
while browsing on eBay. Apart from the unusual color scheme, all of this company's
Godard releases have the same picture of Fritz Lang (which I assume is from
Contempt) on the cover (possible mistaken for Godard...?)

How does that cover manage to feel over cluttered and empty of any meaningful content at the same time?

Can't find a larger one, sadly. Some of the text is part of the critic quotes but some isn't - what a mess. Also pretty amusing that the promotional materials for this film seem to have Lively in 3 or 4 different bikinis, when the entirety of it takes place over one day and night, therefore there aren't any costume changes within the movie itself.

Sony strikes again. The cover for remastered edition.

It's so cheaply minimalistic, it looks like a temp art.

I thought the plant design around the photo was weed at first glance.

Warners C+Ped the VHS cover to the Blu-Ray without realizing the background no longer makes sense

It never made sense, considering the same image has been used to advertise the movie's tv showing and DVD release. Is It just a gremlin who haunts VHS collections? "Down here we all rewind!"

The VHS I had used the original book cover image (a hand reaching out of a sewer grate). And they still had the photos of the cast at the bottom. Never understood why they dropped it for that one.

That's actually a pretty good cover- it tells me everything I need to know about the film so that I know not to watch it.

Yeah, I don't get it, looks far better made and composed than a lot of comparable studio junk

It's more to me that this kind of studio junk can qualify for release on UHD just because it's a recent release, while lots of older titles will probably not see this kind of treatment unless the director has clout with them or there's an upcoming sequel/reboot/remake or some other form of laziness. On top of which, who exactly is itching to see this in it's highest definition?

Hardcore Kendrick fans will purchase it surely.

Speaking of which, she appears to be getting impaled on the cover. Watch out Anna!

I'm sure hardcore Kendrick fans were already picturing her "impaling" even before that visual aid!
