I definitely have to speculate on the Oshima and Fuller sets being upcoming upgrades - obviously big names and both have had some popularity (/recent releases), I can't imagine them wanting to lose those editions

Oshima seems like a no-brainer to upgrade, but I'm skeptical about the Fuller. Seems like something they just finally sold the last copy of and won't bother to reprint or upgrade. Prove me wrong, Criterion!

The number is 164 with the triumphant returns of Coup de Torchon, Shoot the Piano Player, and Harold and Maude.

With Harold and Maude, that's three out of the six titles Criterion got back from the Paramount purge. I have a good feeling Nashville will follow. I don't think Rosemary's Baby will be back until Polanski dies.

The Elephant Man wasn't part of the Paramount purge, it was because they lost the rights and North American distribution reverted to Brooksfilms Limited, who made Janus the new distributor.

Days of Heaven, Rosemary's Baby, Nashville, Harold and Maude, La Dolce Vita, and Don't Look Now were the purge titles. Each one that returned as a 4K/Blu Combo and new Blu-ray. Rosemary's Baby is least likely since it's the only one Paramount handled the 4K themselves on. Kind of surprised Nashville wasn't earlier this year for its 50th anniversary, but maybe Paramount will handle it themselves after all. There's also December.

edit: Forgot Nashville was 1975, not 1976.

Nashville’s anniversary was last year.

Paramount did their own reissue of Nashville in April, it's identical to the Paramount Presents edition but in a standard Amaray case. There's still no UHD release so I could see them being willing to license it out, but probably not for a little while at least.
