Which are presumably too recent to be discounted?

Probably, and my newsletters frustratingly keep getting removed from my email, so if anyone could post if there was low stock alert that would be helpful

Interesting, I feel mostly caught up after the last one. If anyone’s trying to do a group buy, I’d probably join just to get the Murphy/Mexican sets before they sell out
Count me in for one copy of Mexico Macabre if a group buy for the sale comes about.

I try to support the labels directly because it's not a hardship for me, but am I just being a chump? Would love to know how much of a difference it makes to buy direct.

I don't think so, depending on the sale prices and if VAT is eliminated. Orbit and DD and other U.S. import sites usually list pretty high prices for Indicator releases in particular

So maybe they meant next Friday?

Yes, they specified March 24th.

Sale is now live

If anyone in the US wants to lead a group buy, I'd be keen on getting one copy of Mexico Macabre. If there's little interest in the discs on sale, then we could still hit the 200 pound threshold for free shipping easily if several people wanted one of the non-discounted boxsets.

So am I going to buy that Hammer Death and Deceit box? That would be a textbook case of buying it for the extras.

that's me with so much of this label does. I'm sure it's well worth the effort. having to talk myself out of the more "genre" stuff I know I won't enjoy but I did go for Santo and the Robin Hood sets. luckily I kinda "caught up" last sale so I can sit this one out, there's so many titles on sale that were out last year worth recommending. Bartleby, Universal Noir #1, Diary of a Mad Housewife, etc. what really need to sell out are John Ford at Columbia and 90 in the Shade, two of this label's best ever editions. both are way, way underrated.

stock update from twitter:
First LOW STOCK update of the sale, which started this afternoon. These will be the first LEs to go OOP:

CRIMEWAVE - 43
BELLMAN & TRUE - 76
THE EFFECT OF GAMMA RAYS ON MAN-IN-THE-MOON MARIGOLDS - 80
JAGGED EDGE - 89
A SEVERED HEAD - 117
GRAY LADY DOWN - 136
THEY MADE ME... - 153
We have a few hundred copies left, but the next Limited Edition box sets to go OOP will be:

WILLIAM CASTLE AT COLUMBIA VOLUME TWO
COLUMBIA NOIR #4
HAMMER VOLUME SIX: NIGHT SHADOWS
HAMMER VOLUME FIVE: DEATH & DECEIT
JOHN FORD AT COLUMBIA, 1935-1958

The Robin Hood and Creatures That Roamed The Earth Hammer sets are so cheap, but I too caught up for the most part last sale. Are those worth getting? Or only if you're a Hammer die-hard?

People seem to like the Robin Hood set given its consistent mention in the ‘other label awards’ thread, though I don’t think anyone’s said it’s “great” per se - I just expect to have some mindless fun. Creatures seems to be considered pretty mediocre from what I’ve read, even from Hammer fans

The films are curios, but you get Newman, Huckvale, Lyons et al talking about them at length, enough to make me a Hammer die-hard, at least temporarily.

+ Nice transfers

Which happen to be their five earliest sets not to sell out yet.

I'm sure we've all been rooting for that Ford set since it was released, though. [-o<

I’m a die-hard Hammerphile. I’ve seen Creatures. You’d have to wire me up Clockwork-Orange-style to get me to sit through it again.

Powerhouse have updated their store to include their US titles - not just the few US exclusives but the US releases of all their limited editions. So the front page now has four of each upcoming Rollin title to choose from! Of the three US exclusives only Orders to Kill is currently in stock, I'm not certain whether they plan to bring in any stock of the other two or whether the listings are just for the sake of completeness.

There's no significant differences between the UK and US editions of any titles that I'm aware of so the choice probably won't mean much to most people, though anyone with a seething hatred for BBFC logos will certainly be pleased.

The other notable change is the ability to choose your region. Prices remain in GBP£ but VAT is removed (and any applicable taxes added) if you're outside the UK which is a nice touch.

Thus far, the machine-readable side of the discs has been absolutely identical regardless of territory. The only differences are minor cosmetic ones to do with barcodes (different in the US and UK) and BBFC logos (obviously not needed for the US packaging), and so on. The booklets/books are also generally identical, with one tiny exception - because Michael Apted died between the UK and US releases of The Triple Echo, the latter edition's booklet has been updated to reflect this.

And all US/UK discs are region-free, apart from Hoffman, which for contractual reasons is simultaneously locked to Regions A and B (i.e. it won't play in Region C machines).

If there are any changes to those general rules, I'll flag them up as soon as I'm aware of them myself.

Not that I'm complaining, as it most likely will be EXTREMELY convenient for Continental Europeans like me to be able to import both UK and US-exclusive Indicator titles through the same UK-centric website, but I'm surprised to see US-exclusive titles being sold there (like, say, Orders to Kill), as they're US-exclusive mostly because the UK rights weren't available. Yet, they're now sold just like any UK-available title.

It looks like you can order any combination of US and UK titles and the £200 free shipping threshold still applies (close to $260 USD)
