If you google search the film's title, articles with it pop up from Hollywood Reporter, etc.

First interesting Lanthimos project since.... well, it's been a while for me, but I know YMMV. Very promising. However, Will Tracy also wrote the execrable The Menu, so this could always turn out to be a match made in Hell.

Critics reviews aren’t out yet but early word from those who’ve seen it at Venice is that Stone is now the frontrunner for her third Best Actress Oscar

Ha! No, but Plemons nommed in Best Actor seems likely as well as the rest of the big noms (Pic, Director, etc)

Bugonia is a return to a gnarlier, more deliberately confrontational Lanthimos that I think will alienate those whose only exposure to him are Poor Things and/or The Favourite. It definitely commits to the bit(s) and pays them off in hilarious, gory, and hilariously gory fashion. As a satirical examination of modern paranoia, conspiratorial tendencies, and corporate euphemism and manipulation, it’s effective but I can’t say it fully comes together as completely as Lanthimos’ best work. It still weaponizes intense performances from Plemons and Stone (along with some remarkable supporting work) and Lanthimos’ penchant for surreal imagery to stick at least a few of its thematic and visual ideas deep in your brain.
As to the conversation above about its awards prospects, I think it will definitely rack up nominations but it’ll be a big ask for a strong plurality of voters to get on board with something this aggressively unwilling to make some of its standout sequences (a dinner table conversation that devolves a bit over differences of perspective was my favorite) more traditionally entertaining.

The following theaters will be screening 35mm prints of Bugonia: Enzian (Orlando), The Belcourt (35mm), Coolidge Corner Theater (Boston), Music Box (Chicago). Interestingly, the Coolidge will also be screenings prints of After the Hunt and Frankenstein

Should clarify that this is in Orlando, about a 3.5 hour drive from Miami.

Thanks for the catch. For some reason my brain registered "Maitland, FL" as "Miami, FL".

I wouldn't be surprised, though don't know yet, if there will be 35mm showings in London. The Picturehouse Central showed 35mm prints of Poor Things and Kinds of Kindness - I saw them there.
Its UK release date is 31 October, though it's playing the London Film Festival earlier in the month.

There will be at least two 35mm prints in London - the Curzon Soho and Picturehouse Central have opened bookings for preview screenings on 29 and 30 October before the release date of the 31st.
This film is another example of the revival of VistaVision, and as with One Battle After Another, its OAR is 1.50:1. The trailer I've seen a couple of times now bears that out. There'll be no problem with that ratio for DCP screenings, but 1.50:1 is not a standard ratio for 35mm projection. My best guesses are that if the film isn't cropped for a wider ratio on 35mm, it'll either be projected in 1.37:1 with letterboxing or 1.66:1 with pillarboxing. Or the cinema could be supplied with/invest in lenses and aperture plates for 1.50:1, which is unlikely, but that's what has clearly happened for the VistaVision showings of One Battle... at the Odeon Leicester Square. No doubt we'll see in due course.
