Seems as if Harmony Korine has played some Hotline: Miami.
(And if anybody from the "Crazy Girls Gentleman's Club" sees this, you have my permission to say to beamish14 "The usual table, sir? I hope we'll not have the same trouble as last time" when he shyly arrives to the club for his 'first time' of visiting!)

Haha! Well, if it comes to Jumbo’s Clown Room, I’ll be watching it from my usual spot in the Champagne Room

AGGRO DR1FT feels like Korine's Only God Forgives (that part is not a compliment from me), in pace, scope, theme, and vibe, only shot as an apocalyptic neon-noir (sic) helmed by Tommy Wiseau. The first half milks the possibilities of ostentatious high and low art - the dialogue and line readings are deliberately awful while the visuals awe and inspire. Although initially hilarious, unfortunately the one-joke premise goes on way too long, because the lack of economy doesn't gel with spaciously dished-out recycled bits of hollow existential rhetoric and reductive characterization (if this was about 30 minutes, it'd be great). Thankfully the visuals are so delicious, it becomes much more manageable than I expected, even if still often repellant. I like how only Travis Scott plays a real recognizable 'human' character for all of two minutes before he, too, is suddenly paralyzed under the spell of disjointed delivery of terrible dialogue - as if his humanity was an 'abnormal' bout of "wrong" existential musing for this world! Korine's preference for painting these days is clearer than ever by his aesthetic choices, particularly the end where he just lingers on paint mixing for minutes as an anti-climax, which is basically what the whole movie is
