Fake Criterion Covers

There was a thread that had some
photoshopped CC covers from a French website awhile back that people here got a kick out of, so I figured this would be appreciated as well.

Great Zoolander cover. The Big Lebowski cover was good at first sight until I found the heads in the pins a bit much. Also seems to suggest that it is a black and white film.

The best Criterion fake cover ever though was on the old forum, the Au Haszard Balthazzar cover with a strong Shrek influence. I'd love to see that again as I don't think I saved a copy....might even print it for insertion into my case for the actual disc.........well, maybe not.

Oh lord, I hope someone from WB takes a look at the 2001 cover.

Criterion should also be paying attention to those. There are some truly striking looking covers that beat the crap out of the recent ones.

I have a great hatred towards the Power Rangers, but that Criterion cover is pretty neat.

I would...give...my...soul...for...that. Does anyone know how to make it so I can print it off and use it to house my bootleg?

Still, I think my favorite faux Criterion cover was one someone found ages ago for
Anaconda included with such hilarious extras as an audio commentary by the Snake and a featurette on Ice Cube: the Black Pacino.

that cover would have so many retailers up in arms.
Whipped this up this morning, I like it.
If anyone wants this as a custom slip, i made it big enough, and i'll work on a spine and a back cover as well. you can even pick your color scheme.

Speaking of which, the old forum (and CriterionDVD.com) is archived over at Archive.org:
http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www ... iondvd.com
I'm trying to find out right now if any of the covers were archived as well. I made several myself, and would love to see them again, as well as some of the others too.

There are some South Park Criterion covers that I found both hillarious and great looking.
Here is the link

Well,
I for one would appreciate a Criterion edition of
Commando, given that Michael Bay's inferior works somehow managed to eke themselves in...

The Rock belongs on criterion, Armageddon doesn't. Bay must have payed them a hell of a lot to release it. the good thing is, they didn't fall for the money when it came to pearl harbor. remember when Bay released the 4 disc director's cut with 60 seconds of restored footage? well, I do, but I'm not expecting you guys to. it was his rebuttle to criterion not releasing it, and it BOMBED.

Those southpark covers are great! would love a boxset of those.......if any animation series deserves the criterion treatment it's South Park.
BTW, not to offend, just curious, why does the Rock belong on Criterion...saw it when I was 12 (huh, it was cool, huh), and every time I have seen it since I couldn't finish it (a firm disgust prevented me)....The only reason the criterion should have released it it was because of the extra "Dos and don'ts of Hollywood gunplay, with Harry Humphries and Marshall Teague" which, by the sound of it, should be hilarious!

I bet the one with Kenny on the cover has now gone OOP and is selling on eBay for $200+
(Sorry, can't help it.)
