The Variety article talking about the acquisition of Moving also mentions that a 4K release of it is coming next year.

I would have guessed Second Run would have moved into 4K releases long before Cinema Guild, and both leaning closer to "Never" than "Soon", but here we are.

All the same, I really hope there's a blu-ray.

Yes, there will be a BD only option. And a DVD only option.

cinemaguild, your packing shot of the 4k indicates it'll be a single format release?

I had hoped the UHD would be bundled with a BD if only because I won't be 4k ready for another year, and the dual format would be future proof for snails like me. If it's 4k/BD/DVD only, I'll have to suck it up and wait with a purchase until I can actually view the 4k.

That is not the final package shot as it is still in early stages, it is our plan right now to include a BD with the 4k box. We do not know the final list of extras yet but there is a possibility it will not fit on the 4k disc itself.

Amazing news. PP Rider is also still slated for a release, right?

Thank you for the response, cinemaguild. As someone who will never move on from blu-ray, I look forward to purchasing it plus Walk Up plus your sterling 2023 line-up.

That just made my week. One of my favourite Denis films. The cafe scene is pure cinematic bliss. Now, if only someone would release Nenette et Boni, I Can't Sleep, and Vendredi soir. Hopefully L'intrus is still coming from Metrograph/Kino at some point.

Very happy to see this news and to know it’ll be mine in less than a month! Also a wild first for me: it includes a talk that I was present at (the Walker Art Center one from 2012).

They do this every year, but just in case there was any concern of irregularity, this year's Cyber Weekend sale runs from Friday 11/24 to Monday 11/27 - once again everything will be 50% off.

That should include preorders too - last year’s Hong Sangsoo set was a Dec release and eligible for half price, so no reason this shouldn’t apply to the Denis (sadly not Typhoon Club, which has yet to finalize specs/street date)

Someone posted a tweet about Victor Erice's latest film supposedly getting picked up by a U.S. distributor, and Cinema Guild like the tweet. If it is true that CG picked it up, then it's an excellent get.

What's the hold up with Spirt of the Beehive and Quince Tree, though?

Hey Everyone,

Just a quick note to everyone who ordered 35 SHOTS OF RUM on Blu-ray - there was a mix-up during the manufacturing process and the wrong movie was put in the box. We will be announcing soon when the correct discs will be ready to ship out to everyone who purchased a copy.

Will this affect orders placed today on Deep Discount? They say on backorder.

We have put a recall on all shipments and we believe only orders from our store and possibly Amazon have gone out

I got mine in the mail today, direct from Cinema Guild, and it seems to be correct. I flipped through it, but didn’t check the extras. I was kind of hoping it would be a surprise Jason Statham movie.

Did you have the Bluray or DVD?
