Is there any reason you can’t do a wholesale swipe of the entire Wikipedia contents for Criterion releases? They aren’t maintaining it any more and it is likely extremely accurate as recently as last month.

It will just list Criterion titles to start but I'll work on adding other labels as well, which will be dependent on me entering data into the database. (I usually try to update them within hours of each new announcement, and certainly on the same day.)

Related: Our forum’s first post listing Criterion laser disc titles and resources (way back from 2004!) is almost entirely dead links. A simple way to fix this would be to substitute links to the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine archival copies as of 2004 since the data is pretty static anyway. Wikipedia has incorporated rollover to Wayback Machine archival links to avoid their growing “dead link” problem.

For example, the post’s first link to Criterion’s own (now deleted) sortable list of laser disc titles has its most recent archival copy in 2008.

My suggestion about using Wayback Machine was just to alter the dead links in the current first post in that thread to the archival pages at Internet Archive, which would save you having to do any other maintenance.

Sorry, wasn't a direct response to your post. I was just noting it because the Wiki page indicates previous LaserDisc release spine numbers and I would like to replicate that, but my DB design doesn't allow for that at the moment.

At some point, it will load quicker and also allow filters and such. I'll also add the other sets to a separate list, and then look at expanding out to other labels (Indicator, MoC, Radiance, etc.) and possibly even ones that don't follow a number system (like Warner Archive).
