Imagine the Movies Even KLSC Won’t Release: the Label

Hey! I really enjoy Cross My Heart. Horny Martin Short spends an entire film trying to get laid, but it’s actually quite sweet. Jonathan Rosenbaum surprisingly liked it a lot

It should be noted that the new Mill Creek reissues of Universal titles like Heart & Souls and The Paper actually have new extra features that the previous releases lacked.

Dawson’s Creek… Mill Creek… it’s a match made in heaven. Netflix recently restored the Paula Cole theme song for this so I wonder if it will carry over to this blu-ray release - although I must confess a fondness, if not a preference, for the “Run Like Mad” ditty that replaced it in the intervening years.

Just learned Mill Creek released a Blu of… How Green Was My Valley?! Did Disney really license a Fox title to MC? Are there others?

I remember Mill Creek announcing a few years ago about getting some Fox titles from Disney but it took so long I all but gave up on it. This is some really good news.

I wonder if they are just re-releasing the Fox Studio Classics blu-rays. Good news for anyone who missed those titles the first time around, hopefully Disney is more open to licensing, but I’m sure a lot of the interesting stuff they have still needs to be restored. I can’t remember if there were actually rumors about Criterion releasing Laura of if was just wishful thinking, but I’m sure they’d love to and this makes it feel more likely, however slightly.

Disney stuff like Dick Tracy has been re-released by Mill Creek and they are identical to the old Disney discs, so I assume that will be the case with the Fox titles.
