It's already out in a deluxe edition in France for probably what you'd pay for a TT release

I've always been curious about Devil In A Blue Dress, but TT releases aren't the time and place (and cost) for blind buys.

Black Widow, wondered if that was one of those titles that would never see a blu-ray. Definitely that one, maybe one or two others.

I believe that the French disc has been reported to suffer from rot or some similar malady, so prospective buyers beware!

No rot, but there are copies where the last 2 or so minutes are unreadable.

It's all about the $$$. Someone unfamiliar with the film will likely buy it because the cover looks much more erotic than the film actually is.

Can I just further add to the love for Devil In A Blue Dress - one of the best films I saw at the London Film Festival that year (and that was with me waiting for the film to end so I could rush out and queue for returns for Mighty Aphrodite!).

In addition, Scream and Scream Again remains a personal favourite - it topped my Horror list a couple of years back and came pretty close in my 70s list in the previous round. It's a genuinely remarkable experience, Amicus's best non-anthology (despite my choice of avatar I make no great cinematic claims for the Dr Who films) - a glorious mix of horror, SF, policier and conspiracy theory which almost seems to just about make sense (but thinking about soon opens up plot holes / deliberate absences - choose as appropriate). Indeed, in my thesis on Amicus, I spent several pages trying to construct an internally coherent narrative without recourse to the explanation given in the original book. This might be my first Twilight Time release - but I dream of a fully extra-laden Arrow edition...

Was it ever confirmed if Twilight Time picked up the rights to all of the MGM Truffaut titles, or do they only have The Bride Wore Black, Mississippi Mermaid, and The Story of Adele H.?

I just watched The Wild Child for the first time, and I'm really hoping that one *doesn't* go to TT. It's a great and underrated film that I would love to see Criterion release (let TT release Mississippi Mermaid instead! :P )

Kudos to Twilight Time for including the Michael Ballhaus commentary. It was on the old Artisan DVD release, but dropped when MGM reissued the film on a barebones DVD. When they first announced Baker Boys as a future release, I commented on Facebook asking them to look into porting it over & apparently they have!

To Screen Archive's credit and because it's not fair to only mention the label's distro when they do wrong, despite it taking a ridiculously long time to ship my previous order, my order from Weds already shipped out this morning

Age of Innocence is out all thru Europe in a region-free disc for like five bucks, absolutely no one should be looking in TT's direction on that title

Sense and Sensibility was also released in the UK.

Some unique bonus would make either worth it to me.

Like many European Sony Blu-Rays, the UK Sense And Sensibilty does not include the 2 commentary tracks that were on the DVD release, while (going by past trends) a Twilight Time release of the film would include them, so it'd already have that advantage. Even more exclusive bonus features (in addition to the requisite isolated Patrick Doyle score) would also be great too.
