TT titles, even more than Arrow or Criterion releases, are the most easily flippable Blu-rays on the market right now. In fact, in buying them on sale now, you will actually make a profit (!) on your resale for anything you don't like, as you can easily sell any Like New TT title on eBay for over thirty dollars. So, take a chance! If anyone is looking for suggestions, here's how I'd rank the sale titles I've seen:
NO NO NO NO NO NO
Beloved Infidel
Drums Along the Mohawk
Lost Horizon
the Other
Solomon and Sheba
the Sound and the Fury
the Wayward Bus
NOT MY SCENE
A Man For All Seasons
A Midsummer Night’s Sex Comedy

Anastasia
April Love
the Bride Wore Black

It looks like they went live with the sale a little early so I picked up six, including a few that I thought were OOP (i.e. not sold directly from Amazon anymore). The resale value on those titles were about twice the sale price on Amazon's Marketplace, so it seemed like a no brainer.

Which of these titles are close to OOP status?

As per blu-ray.com dedicated topic :
5) LOW QUANTITY UPDATE (current as of May 21, 2016)
FIRST MEN IN THE MOON - around 200 units remaining (out of 5,000)
SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE - fewer than 300 remaining
EXPERIMENT IN TERROR - fewer than 300 remaining
THUNDERBIRDS ARE GO/THUNDERBIRD 6 - fewer than 350 remaining
IN LIKE FLINT - fewer than 400 remaining
THE BLUE LAGOON - fewer than 400 remaining
JUDGMENT AT NUREMBERG - fewer than 500 remaining
CRIMES AND MISDEMEANORS - fewer than 500 remaining
MYSTERIOUS ISLAND (reissue) - fewer than 1,000 units remaining
ZARDOZ - fewer than 1,200 units remaining (out of 5,000)
John Carpenter's VAMPIRES - fewer than 1,500 remaining (out of 5,000)
I just bought Experiment in Terror (along with other stuff), but hesitated for Crimes and Misdemeanors (since the PQ upgrade isn't that great). I might have to revisit that decision later, it seems.

I think you're mistaken on Crimes-- the MGM DVD was awful

I concur with
Broadway Danny Rose, it's one of a handful of Woody Allen films that I would call a masterpiece.
(I also think
Crimes and Misdemeanor isn't far behind, but it's already one of his more celebrated works.)
Haven't seen
The Last Detail in a while, but Nicholson and Robert Towne's script alone make it very much worthwhile. Certainly one of Nicholson's great performances before he became a bit settled in his ways.
Man Hunt is very enjoyable, again part of a small group of pro-war WWII-era films that are quite enjoyable and fascinating when taking the context in consideration. (
Foreign Correspondent and
49th Parallel…all made to push the U.S. into war.)
And
Mississippi Burning is a complete travesty, I couldn't disagree more. I recall Roger Ebert raving about it, but when I finally saw it, I couldn't believe what they had done to the story. Portraying Hoover's FBI as the film's moral conscience and the great defenders of Civil Rights (especially at the expense of so many others) is ridiculous alone. It's historical drama at its worst.

I'm amazed that The Kremlin Letter is still so neglected. Probably not top-tier Huston, but extremely entertaining nevertheless, and the DVD transfer is really stellar. The first Twilight Time disc I bought-I leapt onto it the second it came out, as I thought others would immediately snap up the remaining copies! 8-[

To be fair, I've only had a look at the Blu Ray itself through Caps-a-holic, and it seemed to be a rather dated HD master, with a electronically sharpened aspect.
But it's one of my favourite Woody Allen, so I'll probably cave in. But a bit later in the month : I've already ordered 6 TT titles. Plus the Fred Wiseman Vol 2 French boxset. Plus the upcoming Alan Clarke set. From riches to rags in a week. \:D/

I found it surprisingly good. It drags a bit towards the end, but it's otherwise pretty thrilling and well made.

After reading your defense, I don't think there's any way we're ever going to agree on
Mississippi Burning. There's no way the film can be so sloppy with the historical context without at worst distorting and at best oversimplifying the issues at stake. The important role that forces outside of the Southern black community had on the Civil Rights struggle isn't something I'd ever question, but the film's take on it is dishonest and fairly asinine.
EDIT:
Here's a piece written by the great Civil Rights activist Julian Bond soon after the film's release.

Having not ordered from Screen Archives before, I went to place an order for The Big Heat and was met with this message:
Special Delivery
We apologize for the inconvenience but due to frequent packages not arriving to customers in your country we will not replace any lost or stolen orders unless you option for Registered Mail. Registered Mail is trackable. An additional $25 in postage will be added to your order if you select this option. If you choose to continue without Registered Mail please note we will NOT replace this order if lost. Kind regards, Screen Archives
I'm ordering from Canada, and don't have any interest in spending another $25US on shipping (the sale isn't a particularly awesome deal for us Canucks as is). Does anyone else from Canada have experience with Screen Archives? Am I really taking a big gamble if I place an order with their standard shipping? If there is a serious risk of me losing out on the order, I'd surely be better off ordering directly from TT and just paying the extra $13.

I had the same issue in France so I asked my fellow citizens abouth their experience. People at DVD Classik told me they never used this option and never had any issues. I went ahead like that last year and my 2 orders (2x3 titles) arrived without issues. I did the same this week and will see if it goes smoothly again.

For what it's worth, I'm from Canada and I've never had a lost or stolen order yet (at least 26 purchases). I bought each one through Screen Archives.
Yup, even without the extra shipping, just going with the exchange rate and regular shipping, it's usually $50+ a pop.

If your package goes missing they don't have a leg to stand on. Provided you paid with a credit card, you would just do a chargeback if they refused to replace or refund. It's their responsibility to ensure that you receive what you pay for. That's the central responsibility and concept of a mail order business.
