In addition to the 2006 shorts and experimentals listed on the first page of the thread, Dorsky's "Song and Solitude" and Tscherkassky's "Nachtstück - Nocturne" are good, iyam.

I watched Margaret tonight and only after it was over realized it was the shorter version. Still pretty impressive. No HD version of the 3-hour cut out there?

Nope, you had to buy the Blu-ray to watch it on the included bonus DVD

There are some pretty big plot points missing from the shorter version. The extended cut also makes some interesting editing choices to bring the rest of the world more into the story. Definitely worth watching both to compare

Could you add Jessica Bendinger's Stick It? It's way up there for the best sports movies, taking everything Bendinger did well on Bring It On and doing it better and more audaciously.

I have that as a 2007 film, as it apparently only had festival screenings during 2006 and received no awards recognition at them
