I don't care if purists scoff--I think Dog Star Man is much better with some spacey psychedelic rock playing in the background. Even if I'm watching the film straight. The prospect of Blu-ray is enticing, though.

Well the volume 2 of Brakhage has been discussed in its own thread, and confirmed there some time ago by Adam. Chances of it going Blu seem slim though based on the response on the thread, it might but I'm hoping with this announcement they've changed their minds from the set going from Eclipse to the mainline. In any case just check out the thread for some of the titles that were confirmed by Marilyn Brakhage.

It's Mark Ibold, the band's official bassist as of the last album (and last few tours). Although he is now busy again with his previous gig. Some indie band from the 90s called Asphalt or something.

I think this clue pretty much confirms that it will be blu: Volume 2 has been delayed so long that it will be part of the blu-ray ranks.

It is nice for those not on Blu-Ray yet who might want the extras on the reissue though - maybe 8 1/2 might get revamped too, even if just for the extra documentary.

Yet no mention of any of the 'exclusive' Kurosawa titles getting an individual release in the future for those who don't want 20 double dips! ](*,)
