That's what I always thought. Was surprised to hear in the commentary that it's Phil Spector. Dead ringer for a slightly smaller Nesmith.

If it's Head, I wonder if it will be the longer director's cut which was supposedly 105-110 minutes.

Both versions, I'd wager.

Speaking of music, how cool would it be if they got Roger McGuinn for an interview on the Easy Rider disc?

I think all these music references are all due to A Little Bit Me and Little Bit You. If you have any complaints make sure your letter includes the proper address including PO Box 9847./

Seriously though if you haven't seen the show then Take A Giant Step and rent them. It's a perfect way to spend a Pleasant Valley Sunday.

It would be nice if there is a running commentary from the members of the group..i guess all 4 are still alive...

All 4 are still alive but I don't think they would get together for a commentary session. I imagine you'd have seperate groups of comentaries much like the Life of Brian commentary. Michael Nesmith is pretty successful in other arenas and Peter Tork really doesn't have much to do with The Monkees and would probably be the most reluctant. Don't know about Davey Jones. If Mickey Dolenz would stop being an asshat and leave the Tea Party nonsense then you'd probably get him to do a commentary.

Oh, what a missed opportunity for: Do I Have To Do This All Over Again?

Or, even better, a cryptic Long Title.

No, not even on VHS, as far as I can tell.

EDIT: No, now I see that there looks to have been a MGM VHS release in 1994, but copies are extraordinarily scarce. It's possible that what I'm seeing was an import of some kind.

It's cool that we were actually given a clue about a title that hadn't been unofficially confirmed already. I don't think that's happened since Che.
