Burning Bush (Agnieszka Holland, 2014)

While Burning Bush was conceived as a Carlos-style miniseries for HBO Europe, it's playing in the US as a theatrical feature. No idea if/when it'll get down to my neck of the woods, but I'm a fan of Holland (both as a feature director and for her direction of several episodes of The Wire). Burning Bush is opening to very good reviews so far:

Although she’s from Poland, Holland was actually a film student in Prague in 1969, and was exactly the same age as Jan Palach. All that adds up to the fact that “Burning Bush” is one of the richest works of her long and distinguished career, a multilayered, morally complex drama full of humor, tragedy, political thoughtfulness and sharply observed detail.
