This has been the case for, at least, all of this year. So I'm not sure it means they are ready to announce the set.

I just noticed this previous week. If this has been the case then never mind. Thank you for clarifying!

Alex Cox mentioned that he was doing something for Criterion for their release of The Parallax View. Can't believe I forgot about that.

The massive cache of Oshima films they're sitting on is so frustrating. Those beautiful new 35mm prints Janus toured
a number of years ago are incredible. Which films are likely for individual spines? Shinjuku Thief and Ceremony?

Is Straight Time wishful thinking, or have they hinted at it? It is surprising that WB never upgraded it
to Blu. I'd love to see Grosbard in the collection, particularly Georgia.

Wishful thinking I'm afraid.

There was a clip featured on a Criterion supplement a while back (can't recall which) and it looked like a restored print.

As tenuous as it gets but I live in hope. I'd love to see True Confessions too.

If this is a release, is it the first Sony Pictures Classics to get a Criterion release?

I think The Devils Backbone, All About My Mother and Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown (and any future Almodóvar titles) are all Sony Pictures Classic titles.

I'm almost positive Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown is a Classics title.

I didn't catch (or cache?) that detail. I rescind my guess, but hope springs eternal.
