Coming in November
Sofia Coppola brings a candy-colored palette, a dreamy synth-pop soundtrack, and Converse high-tops to eighteenth-century Versailles for this exuberantly subversive, extravagantly stylized anti-biopic of one of history’s most infamous (and perhaps misunderstood) figures. Kirsten Dunst portrays Marie Antoinette as a rebellious teenage princess, who marries the awkward young dauphin of France (Jason Schwartzman), soon to be crowned King Louis XVI. Feeling isolated in a royal court rife with scandal and intrigue, Marie Antoinette defies both royalty and commoner by living like a rock star—which can work for only so long.

Re: 1335 Marie Antoinette
I live in France and bought day one the Pathé box set; the transfer of Marie Antoinette is nice but I can't wait to see a 4K transfer supervised by Lance Acord (that implied that perhaps we will have one day a Criterion 4K of Lost In Translation)
"I don't know what do to it myself" was also directed by Sofia Coppola; I remember its hypnotic power (the pole dance perhaps)

Odd that Eleanor Coppola's making-of documentary from previous releases won't be on there.

That’s been expanded to feature-length and is being theatrically released by Mubi around when this is coming out, maybe they’ll do their own disc release of it too.

The original version is also on the Hearts of Darkness releases that include a number of her other works.

Re: 1335 Marie Antoinette
Too bad my Pathé box set with "Marie Antoinette" does not play anymore through the second layer; no more chapter 9 and further. Another QOL pressing I suppose.
But it still works on another Blu-Ray player... just waiting for the Criterion UHD/4K transfer. The Pathé transfer is just okay (I was so happy at the time but I have to admit that).
First time I didn't see much than 7 minutes of the movies because they confiscate the little puppy "Mobst"
or whatever was his name to Marie Antoinette. That was unbearable for me. I had to stop the movie. (I love this scene though).
Then someone told me : "no no no you can watch it, they are talking about "Mobst" coming back at the 30 minutes of the movie, watch it, you can bare it."
Okay, so I finally watched it.
Always loved the music, Kirsten Dunst is so lovely
, Jason is as great as in the Wes Anderson movies (sic transit gloria), the cinematography is superb (can't wait for Lost In Translation 4K Criterion). Never understood the controversy in France about this movie. This was "Lost in Versailles" après tout.
There is a making of on the Pathé Blu-RAy - that's a promo making of? Not the documentary you are talking about.
There is also Sofia Coppola's short movie "Lick The Stars".
Well, Stéphane Bern, we can skip (we even had Fadèle Amara in the Criterion collection (minister under N.Sarkozy's reign) on the bonus of Agnès Varda's "Le Bonheur")
