Scaramouche is one that I've long wanted that I could realistically see them doing. I don't understand why it hasn't been released, it has everything that WAC usually go for, and they've put out several other Stewart Granger Technicolor adventure films over the years, but not the best one! Makes me wonder if Criterion has it, but WAC has done inexplicable things before.
The Big Steal is another: name director, noir, fast-paced and fun, the stars of Out of the Past...

I think Frau Blucher is the other member here who would love Stage Door getting upgraded and asked for it a few times. WAC have recently announced more titles I was looking for after a very dry spell, so maybe they'll keep that going. They will be getting two Best Upgrade votes from me at year's end for Crime Wave and Out of the Past already.

Warner Bros. likes scheduling restorations around anniversaries, and 2027 will be the 75th anniversary of the film, so it's conceivable that it could premiere at the next TCM Film Festival. I hope.

I have. I’ve moved my attention to THE INFORMER after George Feltenstein said a bunch of Fords are coming, followed by two months of Ford announcements. On a note about STAGE DOOR, it was on TCM last month during their Summer Under the Stars programming. And it looked like it was a restoration of some sort. So, perhaps this is on the horizon
