So guessing a UK disc won't happen unless Arrow license it through their Warner Bros deal, but it'd be cut of course. I say this because Criterion won't release it here due to enforced BBFC cuts.

Interesting how in higher clarity so much else becomes clear. The tear in Coburn’s eye when Garrett sits down on that bench outside the Maxwell house before the deed is done, is a subtle reminder of how often we grieve for own youth even if we do a good enough job killing off what other joy could remain.

I still have the 2005 DVD WB put out. I don’t think the Criterion disc has the interview between Kristofferson and Donnie Fritts, a shame because it has some good stories. One in particular about how they sat down together and listened to Janis Joplin’s version of “Me and Bobby McGee” over and over again, for quite awhile to get past the grief of her death. Wringing out the pain all at once.
