A perfect pair of Almodovar movies are "Law of Desire" (1987) and "Bad Education" (2004)
I would love a boxset with the two movies, or two separate editions with consecutive spine.

It's pretty bad, but IMO All These Women is even worse.

FWIW, a Bergman set would likely be a November/December release (the audience probably being more holiday gifting/collectors than the standard base, and this would give time for retrospectives to tour) and include all the films listed in Film Forum's Bergman restoration, excepting those with "courtesy of Swedish Film Institute/TV," which are with companies other than Janus/Criterion.

Those non-Janus films (so again, probably not coming from Criterion) include: It Rains on Our Love, A Ship Bound to India, Prison, Brink of Life, Face to Face (on an Olive DVD), The Serpent's Egg, Karin's Face (on the US bluray of Best Intentions), After the Rehearsal, and Saraband. In addition, In the Presence of a Clown and the other late TV works are not listed, nor is This Can't Happen Here.

Not included in the Film Forum retro, but listed on that Janus ad posted in the Janus thread, is Woman Without a Face, so that would likely also be in a boxset. No clue about the other early Bergman-penned films (i.e., Eva).

Won't this be an enormous set?
Has ever been a set like this for films? (counting out the Olympic set)

So goes another month with somehow neither Written on the Wind nor The Lady Eve upgraded. Why? How? A forum is left to search for answers, until next month, when just about everyone and his brother in this thread will probably guess them again.

Toby Dammit, dshooker, and myself win the month. We can split this copy of Fanfan la tulipe that I purchased from a Friends of the Library sale ($2) and inexplicably decided to watch today---a Snow Day.

Speaking of Fanfan la tulipe, does StudioCanal own it too? I would love if the film gets upgraded to Blu.

I don't think so. I just checked the back of my copy and there's no logo like there's on my copy of Diary of a Country Priest.
