As expected, Mary Shelley's Frankenstein is coming on UHD in March. A 2K restoration of the 1910 Edison Studios production is included as an extra, with music by Donald Sosin.
Is that ment for the Frankenstein or the Kenneth Brannagh completists?

I'm curious as to what they can actually do with a film as hugely flawed as this. Is there an alternate cut they can add? It's pretty wretched, save for one amazing scene involving self-immolation and a jump from a balcony. I've always wondered if John Cleese took it on because he regretted turning down The Remains of the Day and wanted to show that he could do something more "serious".
Amazingly, Robert De Niro has preserved his costume, and it's in his archives at UT-Austin's Harry Ransom Center

King Hu's 'Come Drink With Me' is also coming out, alongside 4K version for 'An American Werewolf in London'.
Come Drink with Me will be the first (promised and/or speculated) Shaw title that isn't in one of the Shawscope boxes, as 88 Films has the UK rights.
Good choice. Is it too outlandish to hope for Super Inframan?
Wow. I saw this as part of the previous streaming Japan Society film festival, and the Kickstarter-funded restoration looks unbelievable.
I'm curious: is the entire film presented as 1.33:1 positioned towards the left side of the frame with the visible sprocket holes on one side and the film edge overscan on the other, or is that just a gimmick for the trailer?

I don't particularly care about the Mary Shelly's Frankenstein release, but as someone who has no interest in upgrading their collection again to UHD, I hope it doesn't set a precedent for releases being UHD only. I know there's a multiple version release, but it's a Zaavi exclusive.
I’m surprised there’s no topic yet for Come Drink With Me. Since I hadn’t yet picked up the 88 Films Blu-ray, I’m looking forward to finally upgrading my Dragon Dynasty DVD with Arrow’s release.

Apparently there is a separate Blu-ray edition coming, they just...forgot to announce it?
In all seriousness though this was confirmed by an Arrow employee.

Come Drink with Me and one other title will be separately released (perhaps The 8 Diagram Pole Fighter?) and this is definitely locked to Region A if anyone's wondering. No promises of a UK edition right now but I sure hope they consider it when 88 Films' rights expire (I want those extras, as I love this film)!
Very curious and excited about To Sleep So As To Dream! Ironically, this was/is a pound cheaper at Zavvi than Arrow's own store. Glad I held out on Robocop and that it is not coming from Kino! James Flowers confirmed on Twitter that the Director's Cut is getting a new scan for the 4k disc.

In archival film restoration, it’s common now for the high-res raw scan of the elements to include the width of the whole film strip, including the sprockets. Then you can zoom in slightly for the video master, framing it more precisely and allowing for correction of misalignment or judder.
I don’t know if that’s exactly the case with this trailer, but it’s a plausible explanation.
April: 8D = The Eight Diagram Pole Fighter; CC2 = Chabrol Vol 2
May: FASS = Fassbinder Vol 3
June: SHAW2 = Shawscope Vol 2
Just some observations:
- No American Horror Project Vol 3 which I'm bummed about
- Doesn't look like anymore Masumura's although he has so many and i didn't do an in-depth comparison
- I assume the UHD titles are too obvious since they just show "UHD" (probably a lot of upgrades of previous releases like Re-Animator)
- I'll take the genre boxes with a grain of salt as they might just be repacks
- MEX box? I hope this means a box of Mexican genre films

CJ box could be the Coffin Joe set.
That would be amazing. I've seen guesses that the TOTBD box set in 2023 might be the Blind Dead series. The first film has already gotten a 4K resto from Synapse and they have a partnership so it seems possible.
