Haha and the lobster has a halo or something!? They must play a significant role in the plot!

I was hoping it was the Australian Classification Board Lobster, forever protecting us from unexpected content impact.

Not putting this here because the cover is bad or anything. But coming from a predominately Finnish
background I never considered Laurel and Hardy being basically known as 'Thin and Fat' there. The
word ohukainen also referring to a very thin kind of pancake.

In Germany Laurel and Hardy have always been known as "Dick und Doof" (Fat and Stupid), which is even worse.

This is one of the worst covers I’ve ever seen, and that’s coming from over 20 years on this forum

I sure do love changing the fonts to three different horrendous fonts for each line of words.

That Dark Shadows thing vaguely reminds me of Criterion’s Monsters and Madmen set, only vastly worse.

Do the "artists" who do these recent covers not have the rights to use the likenesses of the actors, or what? It's ghastly.

I think that has actually been the case a couple of times.Monterey Jack wrote: Wed May 13, 2026 12:56 am Do the "artists" who do these recent covers not have the rights to use the likenesses of the actors, or what? It's ghastly.
If Im remembering correctly, that was one of the restrictions they had with the Escape from New York steelbook (with that one they were also not allowed to include the Twin Towers or the Statue of Liberty.)

Under what legal theory can one block use of the Statue of Liberty?

All I can remember is that MGM gave Shout a list of what they couldn't include, with no real explanation as to why they were forbidden.

2 Women
Two Women, where Loren and her teenage daughter have to survive as displaced refugees at the chaotic end of the Mussolini regime. A gritty deSica effort. So why not slap a glamor shot of Sophia Loren on the cover. Wins some sort of minimal effort award.

Re: Worst DVD Covers...ever! (Part 4K)
A movie about 2 women with the picture of only one, could it be one of those split/multiple personality movies of the 60s or 70s?
