Sam did the new Marienbad artwork for the upcoming Kino release and Asako I&II for Grasshopper, so that explains those. Ten and Singin’ in the Rain are the surprising ones here, but keep in mind he also does prints inconjunction with the Belcourt theater in Nashville and hosts a podcast about poster design which does one off episodes that dive into a single film’s key art so they could also be either of those.

The Belcourt just did a Stanley Donen retro series throughout April, so it would seem that’s the most likely explanation for SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN

The way WB has opened their vaults for Criterion, a Singin In the Rain release would not surprise me. As I said about Lolita in previous post about it being CC laserdisc, same is true for Singin In the Rain, and Criterion loves to turn their old laserdiscs to blu-ray's.

He speculates it will be released within a year's time. He first mentions Criterion around 1:50:45 in the timeline.

Since it’s about time for one of my semi-annual plugs of Errol Morris’ Wormwood, if Criterion does indeed have a relationship with Netflix re: Other Side and Roma, I really hope they don’t pass up the chance to acquire one of the best works from another auteur they’ve prominently featured in the past.

I would think so. I've been patiently waiting for my Blu-ray release, but once the Criterion/Netflix deal rumors started flowing I expected to just get a copy sent to me via the Indiegogo campaign.
