Quite nice, Klaylock. How about trying just the under the ice shot and a great big dark expanse on the rest of the cover?

Wow. I really like the image. I've never seen the film, so no idea if it's appropriate. I don't like the font, colours or placement of the title, though. It interrupts the great image.

What I love about the Megan Fox/Transformers cover is that the coloring/background remind me of Days Of Heaven.

I think this is an absolutely brilliant cover. Don't hate but I just got around to seeing this a couple of weeks ago. Definitely not the first Godard I've seen but surely one of my favorites.

It is a great cover, just reminds me of Hal from 2001.

I'm sure Godard would not be pleased with a 2001 comparison.

If a stop sign reminds at all of Hal, it speaks well of the film's low tech charm.

it doesn't really matter to me if this get released on criterion, but it would just confirm the genus of this film! one of my favs, that i still watch about every month! i didn't want to murder the font so i copied it from one of the posters, i would have given gondry & kaufman credit on the cover.. i have a hard time picking fonts, so i just didn't put there names on it. the main concept was to not put anything on the cover that happened while in the "mind". the snowy beach scene could be debated as a memory, but since the scene before was in reality i am figuring that it is free from the "mind". i hope you all like these (i give credit to the person who posted the criterion .psd template, THANKS!)

"Survive Style 5+" would be lucky to see a US Release at all. Apparently there are some music rights problems that are keeping US companies from releasing it. Luckily, the Japanese release has English subs.

swimminghorses wrote:The insert that I received posted different information about Vol. 4 (Your website says this will include "Cocksucker Blues" this fall but the insert did not include the Rolling Stones movie.) Please tell me that your are indeed releasing "Cocksucker Blues" in Vol. 4 and when the release date will be. I have been waiting since the 1970's for this!
Could you please give me more info about Cocksucker Blues? I have several copies of this movie on DVD (all are bootlegs) and as far as I know no official release were allowed...

So this will be released officially ???? (in that case I really doubt that it will be unedited contrary to the copies around)...

I'm digging (among other things) the "wacky C" armpit piercing.

All of Robert Frank's films are coming out in authorized DVD editions from Steidl. Cocksucker Blues will be in Vol. 4, which is scheduled for release this fall. This information is available from the publisher's website.

Beautiful. Though I'm not sure the teddy bear image quite captures the grim, fatalistic tone of Le Jour se lève.
