I'm surprised no one ever posted this little chestnut from Japan used for the 2014 Japanese BD and DVD of Good Luck, Miss Wykoff (1979). I get that "Engrish" is a solid excuse for misspelling some English words, but this is something else, and surely pushing it. In fact, I don't know if I've ever seen those two words together on a commercial video release, ever (still image or not), and I doubt even the bootleggers are this brazen, because somebody definitely knows what both of them mean.

NSFW-ish

"Tina Fey will make you laugh till it hurts"
If that cover is any indication, she is already well on her way.

I wasn't sure about this one, but now that I see it's a "People Pick" I'm all over that.

Cover makes it look about as dumb as People magazine. Is there a scene in the film where she poses without flinching as exploding debris hurtles toward her head?

At work yesterday I was cataloging the recent cinematic masterpiece Rock the Kasbah and the cover's emblazoned with the encouraging Peter Travers remark "Bill Murray just kills it. He's hilarious." I suppose this is sour grapes but when I think of the people who've lost jobs in film writing while he continues to push out this stuff...

It doesn't look bad per se, but it is over-bloated to death.

At first glance, on the first cover, I thought Slimer was the Grinch

At first I thought that was his unreleased film with the "?" director. Then I saw it came out in 2014.

Then I noticed he made another film called "Deadly Lessons" playing the same character in 2006.

Then I noticed the 2006 film was the original "?" film, but with an actual listed director now.

Now I'm confused.

Is this that weird one they covered on Best Week Ever which looked like a weird Terry Gilliam rip off that Voight had no ability to explain?

I didn't know they were bringing back those thumb-acted movie parodies.

Man, I think that's hands down the worst cover in this thread.

Agreed, that cover feels oddly NSFW.

It's as if they wanted to follow Criterion and Shout!'s habit of hiring covers out to cartoonists, but all they could afford was a coloring book illustrator.

Universal is releasing 22 catalog titles with the pop covers. The one for The Breakfast Club kind of almost works, but I'm not sure about any of the others. Apollo 13 is definitely the worst.
