Oh, much better! I wasn't sure if showing the border would look right.

Two more:

Nice ones, although I think it might be better to maybe change the colours of the sidebars.

There are some in there that are for fun (Gigli, Troll 2) but the rest are some of my favorite films, or films I think deserve the Criterion treatment. :D

Well. There is no copying since that picture I use is a snapshot from the film itself. Haha.

I would also like to note that I am hoping to make some "fake covers" of the films not yet released by Criterion and I am very much open to having my work used on their DVDs, or at least have mine be the outline, for what they can use. For free. O:)

So Criterion, if you are interested, please contact me at [email protected].

Thank you. :D

The Fantastic Planet cover really grabs my eye in a good way.
Love the colors, fonts, etc.
Real nice.

Why'd you clone the top layer of clouds in the Atonement cover? Limitation of the image you were using?

Incidentally, I think Chinatown would a be a great cover if the font was more in line with the original poster's.

Yeah, in my mind I really wanted to use the original title art... but god, it was hard to accomplish on Paint. ](*,)

I'm not carping, but your "Weekend" is practically the same as the Artificial Eye cover.

 OH NO!

I got the image off of Google and since I haven't seen the film before (a friend asked me to do it) I assumed it was the opening credit scene.

I had NO idea it was a DVD cover already! :(

I know it's a joke, but I love the "Troll 2" cover. Oddly, it kind of reminds me of Criterion's own "Kwaidan" cover (I guess it's just the close-ups on the faces covered with...paint?!), and it is very much in the vein of some of their cult releases.

And yeah, I know that's not paint in "Troll 2."
