And the poster commonly used across most of the world is a bit of a masterpiece too. Wow that is atrocious.

Besides the monster inside, I see Huey Lewis driving off with Marty McFly's truck.

I know, I know.. its Alpha Video, what can you expect? But I just can't get Brando to look like anyone other than Schwarzenegger.

Also, this video is rather great fun: Cinemassacre judging a bunch of VHS PD horror covers.

I often think of Emma Stone as the Walter Matthau of our times.

The thing I liked the most about Silence was all the exploding cars.

I will give this cover that it accidentally gets one thing about any of the movies on it right; its magnificent representation of Lee from Manchester by the Sea's

For comparison's sake, here's the poster it had under its original title, for its original planned release (which was pulled by the Weinsteins a few days before it supposed to happen).

Just the addition of a comma would have made that a must watch: "Navy, Seals v Demons"

Honestly, this seems like exactly the sort of thing Harvey would pick up sight unseen on the assumption that it'd become a breakout hit and/or awards fodder, only to get cold feet when the critics and test audiences don't fall over themselves to praise it. It happened all the time even in the Disney era.

I'm sure that's part of it, but it is definitely also because he doesn't have the money to release it. Even Lion took a herculean effort to get its dismal release because he doesn't have the money to maintain a distribution structure.
