A.O. Scott thought it was pretty funny and worth a look, but no one on earth except for you considers this film a masterpiece of any kind. Tom Green doesn't even like it.

This would be a great release, especially if Solondz were to record a commentary. The old transfer desperately needs to be improved upon. Clever cover, there.

The AV Club's Nathan Rabin deemed Freddy a secret success.

It's hard to imagine that just seven short years ago, Tom fucking Green was bankable enough for a major studio like Fox to turn him loose on literally whatever he wanted to film.

It's not bad, except Brooks looks like she has Bjork's swan dress floating up off her body...

It's funny how much better this is than the actual cover.
I would prefer a more saturated red, but this cover is still brilliant.

The more people post this, the more I wish it was the real cover.

I love when this thread produces covers that actually beat out the official Criterion work. The fake cover for Alphaville is amazing (especially because the real cover is so crappy).

Some more Europa covers:
Old in 300 dpi
New1 in 300 dpi
New2 in 300 dpi
New3 in 300 dpi

Criterion will probably update their cover soon (-- this can't be the final cover, look at the "E")

I wonder if we can all write to Criterion to change the cover to yours.

Well, either way, we're never going to see it.

I noticed that similarity when I created this design, but Criterion has had a few matching designs as well ("White Dog" and "Jules and Jim"). My cover is just a manipulation of the original poster artwork.

Yeah, it definitely piques my interest in the film more than the official one.

I forgot to mention that I love your take on Brewster and that the movie is now on my wanted list thanks to your brilliant cover. I don't mind the look alike, just found it interesting.

Very nice, though I don't agree with the choice of font. It's too elegant for what you're trying to convey.
