I get what you're going for, but the cover doesn't look quite right, it almost resembles more of a postcard. Maybe a two-part image would work better? The film is very kinetic and that doesn't quite get the basic mood of it across.

Beautiful and witty lobby-card design there - not much you can do about the aspect ratio of the DVD case!

Got lazy on the back cover (I can't modify the template text without paying $60 to Hoefler & Frere-Jones for the font).

Now those are truly inspirational fake covers! The extra features show some very dark humour - my favourite kind!

Holy shit! Now that's what I call dedication to a joke.

"Vintage unrelated newsreel footage of a baby choking on a penny" is my favorite.

Thumbs up, that's dedication to the spirit of the premise!
One small caveat: no FAKE spine numbers!

Here's another CC Wishman so you can re-wrap your SWV release.
(It's not as dark as the other ones...)

All the extras are straight from the SWV release.
I just get a chuckle from using the Chris Marker cover as the basis.

More experiments with turning things that aren't DVD covers into DVD covers:
Though I just realized that I may have subconsciously stolen the idea from the posters for David Fincher's latest. #-o
