Oh thank God, Criterion finally commented on a post pertaining to Nollywood. Peace.
Someone on FB posted that Warner is talking to Criterion at the behest of certain directors that want their work on the label? When did this happen? Google is being unhelpful.

If they're generating new artwork (and if not, they're spending way too much time and effort on Facebook teasers when they should be producing discs!) then this suggests a whole new edition, not just a Blu upgrade, though God only knows what else that release needs.
Uh, while I know that they aren't exactly the most clamored-for upgrades, both Rushmore and The Royal Tenenbaums could use upgraded transfers, even if the supplements still hold up well. Both of those older discs look pretty bad now (especially the former), and both were before Criterion started doing high-def transfers as a matter of routine.
Since Amazon + that screenshot Criterion posted implied that The Darjeeling Limited is coming soon, maybe we'll see a paired release with The Royal Tennenbaums on Blu (like the Powell and Pressburger releases) sooner than we think.
I could see Criterion creating new packaging for a blu/dvd rerelease of Royal Tennenbaums. That ugly slipcover on the current edition was almost certainly mandated by Disney. (I actually just threw mine in the garbage when I bought it) It would be a good opportunity to get rid of it and put together something more appealing.
One of the few times I have seen CC actually answer directly in a while:
Jedidiah ***** Can anyone reiterate and tell me if "Badlands" is still a possibility for the collection, and when? I forgot what earlier posts may have mentioned before......

Still a possibility, but not a done deal.

They also answered about someone asking for employment. They keep resumes on file for six months, and that's where they go when a position opens up. What I wouldn't do to work there. Office bitch, gimp, anything. I'll polish up my resume, you never know.
