Or they could just go with a variation of the original poster.

They better be using the below poster for the art for LDW.ianungstad wrote:Of course it's Life During Wartime. MPI has been pretty good at getting their IFC titles out 2-3 months after theatrical. Criterion...not so much.swo17 wrote:Michael K. Williams at the Criterion offices. Could this bode well for Life During Wartime? [-o<
The film came out last July, even if it makes the June solicits, that's a pretty big gap for a first run title. I wonder/hope this gap occured as a result of Criterion working out a one-off deal with Lionsgate for Happiness. It would be somewhat odd for Criterion to release a sequel and not the original, especially since elements like casting differences between the two films is important in helping to understand what Solondz was doing thematically with LDW.

Statistically, Hader could be a member of this board. Male, 30-something, film fan, grew up in Tulsa...Murdoch wrote:Hader wasn't there for any reason except for the free stuff.

Dimensions may be a little funky as I had to do some resizing in photoshop, but here's the full cover:

I don't get it--it doesn't look like anything when you turn it upside down.

I like it though. It's simple, yet effective.

huh? looks pretty nice to me. doesn't have to have something on every square millimeter to be a good cover. nothing wrong with simplicity at all....at least it's not fucking orange.CSM126 wrote:Good grief, it's awful. So. Much. Dead. Space.

Actually, when turned upside down it looks like a portrait of Klaus Nomi (whose name you can spell using the letters found in BLACK MOON and Louis Malle)...very clever Criterion!swo17 wrote:I don't get it--it doesn't look like anything when you turn it upside down.

Your Twitter 'box of Criterion' contest victor.
Can we also change this to the Criterion & Twitter thread? Twitter sometimes has some exclusive content

Re: Criterion Facebook and Twitter
I thought it was nice. Although I did bridle a bit when she said Au Hasard, Balthasar was one of her favourite movies and then threw it off handedly onto the table! Plus it was rather sadly ironic, though statistically more than likely, that Criterion ended up sending Blu rays to someone without a Blu ray player (a deliberate attempt to troll aox?)
And remember if you are feeling jealous to take a moment to contemplate that she did receive both Armageddon and Solo con tu pareja! (I couldn't tell if Border Radio was in there too)
Nerdy note: I see that Armageddon has apparently been repackaged into a single width keepcase!

"So I re-tweeted a tweet, and I got some movies from this place called Criterion Collection? (did I say that right?), they make cool movies!".
This is what you get when you put a contest on TWITTER. Just to make a video of your winnings and pretty much called your free OOP Godard pretentious to all of us Godard fans while praising John Wayne and played with your cardboard box pretty much wrapped this up for me. Twitter twats.

Not consistently- the times I've seen it, it's been in a double-wide.kaujot wrote:Hasn't it always been in a single-width keepcase?

She was probably the perfect recipient, actually. To be honest, if I would have won (which would never happen, as it would require that I acknowledge the existence of Twitter) I would have either given most of those away as gifts or put them up for sale, as I already either own all of them or don't for a reason.
