That's what I'm getting at. I'm excited because it's kind of like a starting point for things to come. I'll bet that Out 1 will be distributed by Criterion. The guys at Criterion know that if they drop the ball on that one, the fans will hunt them down... and kill 'em. 8-[

(although according to MoC the US release of Out 1 is coming out shortly after the German dvd, so fingers crossed it's by Criterion!)
When did MoC say this?

They've just tweeted about The Conversation. Has that been rumored as a possible release?

Coppola signed a distribution agreement for his catalog titles with Lionsgate last year. They have issued new versions of The Conversation, Apocalypse Now and One From the Heart so far. No chance of Criterion releases of any of his work.

Thanks. I know that their release for Apocalypse Now is actually pretty good, but I'm not sure of the quality of the others. Any good?

They haven't been released yet, right? Or, at least the Region 1 Blu-rays haven't. The APOCALYPSE NOW set has a brief mention that THE CONVERSATION would be released on Blu sometime this year.

I think the second line under Mahler is:
Burn! (+) ?????

Now, Burn! would be awesome! Even though I can't make out the second title, I'm guessing it'd be a... double-feature?

Maybe they'll put a few of his early documentary shorts on the disc like they did with Last Year and Red Dessert. That's something I would gladly welcome.

My eyesight isn't so great. Does the second title look something like "Documentaries," or maybe resembles another Pontecorvo film title?

Could it be "Danza??" He's got a short called Danza Della Fata Confetto. Otherwise, I'm at a loss.

Of all the films in need of the Criterion treatment this one is... long overdue. It's a crime that this one currently doesn't sport a spine number. I'm just surprised that Criterion has finally listened to my request after so many years!

We know it can't be this one. Disney (unfortunately) owns the rights to it. Disney will never give up the rights to the masterwork no matter how much Criterion begs for it.

Be sure to read IMDb user, steve-575's, epic analysis of the film!

I think under what has been deemed "Mahler" it actually says Demy.

I'm hoping it says "Demme." Unfortunately, I don't see an "e" at the end. I think I see two "m's," though. (C'mon, documentaries!)

Is that Chabrol's Masques under L'argent? It's up on Hulu too as is La Ceremonie but I can't match that one. Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere.

Criterion posted an image of Scarecrow Video's in-store "Criterion Wishlist" section on their Twitter account.

Criterion then followed-up with an image of Martin Bell's Streetwise, saying "Here's one title from the @ScarecrowVideo wishlist that felt appropriate."

Could this be a hint? Has it been on the radar?

They then followed that up with saying they don't own it.

Probably 'appropriate' because it is set in Seattle.
