Definitely. A pet monkey is featured quite prominently in the film.

I kind of hope not. Though that's probably better than Max, mon amour.

Monkey Business!

or perhaps we are focusing too heavily on the monkey, and Paramount is actually releasing the Godfather trilogy to Criterion

The puppetry reference is pretty obvious, too.

Part of me really, really wants it to be Cure, even tho' Being John Malkovitch seems more probable.

Looks like a deal to release USA films through Universal.

We could get:

Black Cat, White Cat
The Idiots
Rosetta
Wonderland
A Room for Romeo Brass

Others...

I imagine what he's wearing is notable.

Seriously, how could this not be Being John Malkovich?

Yeah, the monkey in BJM wears a diaper too, if memory serves.

Also, remember that this film played at ATP a few months ago, so this clue isn't terribly surprising.

It's too bad that Sony licensed Adaptation to Image instead of Criterion. Wasted opportunity.

An Adaptation Blu-ray with Nic Cage doing a "Charlie Kaufman" and Donald Kaufman commentary would have been incredible.

"incredible" and "Nic Cage" in the same sentence is hard to compute.

Clearly you haven't seen any of his incredible performances i.e. all of them.

I thought Cage lacked the subtlety required for a role like Ghost Rider.

I agree that the performance wouldn't do well with a traditional Ghost Rider story, but as filmed he really didn't have much of a choice and the sequel looks to go even further in that direction, but considering the directors I'm comfortable with that.

I can only assume you left out Valley Girl so that it could get its own spine number.
