International House, where we have a monthly Janus Collection series (on 35mm) and screen interesting retrospectives like this and new work all the time.

I'm not sure if the new newsletter went out to everyone or just those of us who guiltily took the social networking plunge, but it looks like My Criterion members with wishlists just got $10 gift certificates. Maybe it's compensation for the embarrassment.
Happy Valentine’s Day!

We wanted you to be the first to know that starting at noon EST tomorrow, February 14, all in-stock Blu-rays and DVDs will be 50% off the suggested retail price (SRP). Just enter the promotional code SWAK on your shopping cart page at Criterion.com to apply the discount.

To thank you for making a My Criterion wish list, we’ve placed $10 of store credit in your account. To redeem it, just choose the “Apply my account credit to this order” option on the payment page during checkout.

I didn't get this e-mail and I have a My Criterion list. I checked my account and no credit appears. Wonder who I pissed off? Is there a special code for the sale?

I never received that email, nor an account credit. Has anyone checked to see if it was already applied to their account?

I didn't. I guess that's the hitch. So be it. Lesson learned. The 50% sale applies to everyone, yes?

I have an account credit. Please don't hate me, but the irony of it is that I only added stuff to my wishlist in the past several days.

And I only removed stuff from my Wish List in the last several days as I made a large Amazon purchase.

What a joke.

Maybe they will also give $10 credits to everyone who complains in this thread.

Look I've only been posting on a board about their company since the middle of the last decade, I can understand if they want to prioritize someone who clicked a button on some lame social networking scheme instead

I have tons of stuff in my wishlist, a my criterion account, and obviously subscribe to their newsletter, and still got bupkus. What gives? I don't have it streaming with my Facebook or what have you...could that be the difference?

Edit: Never mind. I got the $10.

I'm in the same boat. I think they need to reassess how they decide who gets what information (and perks).

I had one of the OOP films on my list, but maybe that didn't count.

As I understand it you have to have to be using My Criterion, rather than just having a wish list. I think.

I got the discount/gift certificate, but am having problem using the discount. You just enter SWAK and then hit update, right?

I sent an email to [email protected] and they credited my missing $10 for having a wish list. Might be worth a shot.

Eh. No $10 code for me....I added wish list titles today.

Grabbed the Marker set for $15 (used my White code).

I wish shipping wasn't so pricey, but between the $10 credit and my White gc, I got 12 Angry Men for $5.98, so I guess I can't complain.

Given that they're already emphasizing the Spalding aspect of things if it's going to be more than the two Soderbergh films it will focus on the other Gray films rather than more Soderbergh.
