This is sort of off subject, but for anyone who has the Pee-Wee's Big Adventure DVD, have you guys ever watched the French Language version? It is by far the best feature on the disc. The French actor who is dubbing over Pee-Wee really gets into it. Amazing!

I have no problems with my copy now; also, I like the cover way more for the one I have. It's in a clear case too, which I think looks pretty neat.

As for the Tim Burton DVDs, there are a couple of re-releases of Big Fish and Edward Scissorhands.

Yes, I already knew about those but those are serious cash-ins and thus I proceeded to ignore them. The koreans were the first to have that Big Fish SE and who cares about the new Edward box anyway?

If you're thinking of buying the R1 Corpse Bride, think again: the R3 Hong Kong is apparently coming with an audio-commentary according to dvdactive.com. And our friends down under in R4 Australia are getting the 2xDVD treatment, though I don't know how their specs are like yet.

So, what went wrong with R1 this time then? One thing is for sure - I will be buying mine elsewhere.

Paramount Home Entertainment has announced 1-disc and 2-disc special editions of the Tim Burton directed Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street which stars Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter. The film itself will be presented in anamorphic widescreen, along with an English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround track. The only extra feature on the 1-disc release will be a Burton + Depp + Carter = Todd featurette. The 2-disc will include that, along with 8 additional featurettes (Sweeney Todd is Alive: The Real History of the Demon Barber, Musical Mayhem: Sondheim's Sweeney Todd, Sweeney's London, The Making of Sweeney Todd The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Grand Guignol: A Theatrical Tradition, Designs for a Demon Barber, A Bloody Business, and The Razor's Refrain), a Moviefone Unscripted with Tim Burton and Johnny Depp feature, a Sweeney Todd Press Conference, a photo gallery, and the trailer.
