Looks like plenty of grain to me, much more than the DVD as you can see on caps-a-holic The condition of the source elements, the problematic WarnerColor process, and the amount of opticals used have always been a huge obstacle for this film so it's never going to look pristine. I do think it's a significant improvement.

If it has been, the caps on caps-a-holic sure don't show it, or it has been done very subtly.

DVDBeaver on "The Right Stuff"

Well, that original announcement of a "Dolby TrueHD audio with advanced 96k upsampling" seems wrong, it only comes with a standard Dolby TrueHD track, and not a really powerful one.

I received the UK James Dean BD set and it is the flimsiest weakest box I've encountered out of all Warner "Ultimate" editions. The inner folder holding the pictures, posters, 40 page book, and transcriptions is really flimsy as well. The set arrived with creases on the bottom and sides.

DVDSavant on the James Dean Boxset, the US version

For comparison, EVERYTHING from the 2-disc DVD editions of the 3 films are carried over. The only new extra is the Dennis Hopper interview.

Any additional confirmation of, or updates about, the Bishop's Wife glitch?

Mine did too...and it's in those cheap hard-plastic-that-breaks-easily inlays with disc-over-disc storage and flimsy levers that are supposed to hold in the discs (the ones TCM uses in their box sets).....absolutely horrible packaging. The booklet was just a bunch of photos cobbled together with a few paragraphs for each of the 3.....Giant looks rather poor.... (no restoration, fuzzy image, scratches & blemishes, most definitely not a transfer from an original print or negative). I thought by 3xblu rays, 3 xdvds it would be the same material mirrored on both formats, but it's not, movies + 1 or 2 extras on the blu & all the dvd's have are the special features. And to think there was a day when Warner put out the best home video product...

All The Presidents Men 2-disc BD review at DVDMG

Disc 1 is the same disc as before, and Disc 2 includes the new 90 minute documentary.

Yeeeeeah!

Now if only someone would have the inspiration to package Get Carter and the Bernie Casey remake, Hit Man, in one, awesome blu-ray set....

They are more likely to package it with Stallone remake.

True. Like anyone wants to revisit THAT one in hi-def.

Hit Man, though, I would like to see in hi-def. That film includes scenes shot at the Los Angeles Lion Country Safari Park; a terrifying place I visited many times as a kid, and which is now relegated to the pages of history...and to several scenes of Hit Man. Pam Grier gets mauled by a fake lion in the Safari Park of the film. And it's an almost scene-by-scene, line-by-line remake of Get Carter, up until right at the very end.

Conspiracy Theory on April 22, a film I've seen but completely forgot existed. Thanks Illuminati! Blu-ray.com's blurb doesn't sound like the film I saw, though:
The Blu-ray debut of Donner's offbeat romantic action-comedy streets on April 22, 2014.

It must be all that gravy they fed you that's fogging your memory. I loved Conspiracy Theory when I was about 11 or 12. I'd watch it every time it was on HBO. I haven't thought of it for years, though, so thanks for the reminder -- I think I'll revisit it soon.

The main thing I remember from Conspiracy Theory was Riggs biting Captain Picard's nose off...and owning a million copies of Catcher in the Rye. Seemed amusing enough when I was in highschool, tho' I doubt I'd like it now.

The Fearless Vampire Killers was just released by Warner France. I pre-ordered the BD, and paid EUR 32,57 for it(incl shipping). According to those who've received the disc it's 1080/50p and has forced French subtitles. Uncharacteristically for a Warner release, it is region locked. Will send mine back for a refund.

Unfortunately it's all true. :( Just popped in my disc.
